Name: (African name would be awesome!) Katlego, meaning "success". AKA Kat.
Which African tribe did he come from?: (And why if you want to gain points!) Oromo. After falling in love with the name Katlego, I thought that his tribe should reflect the meaning of the name: success. And with over 30 million members, the Oromo tribe is successful in its population and numbers.
What African custom/tradition does he always follow?: (And why/how/etc if you want to gain points!) Though traditionally it is women who do beadwork, Katlego's delicate claws and excellent hand-eye coordination make him one of the best beadworkers in the tribe.

Aalif, click the link for the meaning.

Which African tribe did he come from?: (And why if you want to gain points!)
The Fulani tribe
The Fulani people of West Africa are the largest nomadic group in the world.

I chose this tribe because, when I thought of a cheetah, I thought of how fast they run, like most people would. I connected it with the nomadic tribe, Fulani, and it just seemed to click perfectly.

What African custom/tradition does he always follow?:(And why/how/etc if you want to gain points!)
Aalif is constantly moving, like his tribe, he is nomadic. He tends to become uneasy if he stays in one place, as he was raised in the Fulani tribe and has moved from place to place since he was very young. He also tends to stray close to his birth tribe, even though he left them when he became a teen.
(Only edited because the size I was using was goofing up the form, sorry about that. ^-^'')

Name:
Duma- Cheetah in Swahili

Which African tribe did he come from?:
The Samburu Tribe
Duma is a member of the Samburu tribe in Kenya. This is where the cheetahs that he resembles live and he enjoys observing them, for he finds it fascinating to have markings similar to such a graceful and fast creature. Even though his name does not originate from the area where he lives, the people around him decided to name him Duma for his appearance. They decked him out in beads they made in their tribe and kept him as their protector from other larger predators.

Male cheetahs along with the Samburu people tend to be nomadic creatures. While female cheetahs tend to have territories, male cheetahs will wander around. Because of this trait the tribe and the JBD match and can be related to one another.

What African custom/tradition does he always follow?:
Duma herds for his tribe, which is something all males in the Samburu tribe partake in. The men in the tribe herd cattle, goats, and camels, and Duma thinks that this is where he can be the most useful in the tribe. Duma enjoys helping them push their flocks where they need to go. Since The people of Samburu are semi-nomadic, Duma follows his people with the flocks so that all of the tribe members know their animals are safe. The beads that Duma wears are symbols of gratitude and respect the people have for him. The tribe members make the beads and use them represent to brave deeds Duma has preformed to keep the flocks safe and well. Every time Duma protects the flocks he is rewarded in a memorable way with something handcrafted which in his opinion is much better than something that will eventually go away.
(His beadings remind me of Samburu tribesmen only less elaborate...)

This means spotted feline in Afrikaans, as in cheetahs and what not~

Which African tribe did he come from?:He comes from the Arid African tribe. He came from here because they are vegatarian, and would never harm hin=m and fed him scraps. They also worship large cats and one of their gods is a cheetah

What African custom/tradition does he always follow?: He keeps a small knife in his pouch as his tradition. He does this because the male figure with a weapon or {[companion], represent honour to departed ancestors. African men are often honoured in warfare and there is a great emphasis on weaponry in African art, as it depicts survival and power.

Which African tribe did he come from?: Aandonga/Ondonga. This tribe becuase it's in a savanna. A place where you can see many animals or just sit under a tree to rest and sometimes secretly watch a lion or giraffe.
[b]What African custom/tradition does he always follow?: He does the Zulu tradition because in his opinion he loves making beads for jewelry and like the Zulu he would make a peice of jewelry with "love beads"/ beads meaning love for the one he likes.

Amir
(Prince In African)
His nick name is Ami
(~ah-me~)

His name is Amir because, its just so fitting! Cheetahs are one of my many favorite animals, and I just
would think to name one "Prince" if I was able to have one, JBD or Cheetah.

Image

Amir Admires the Kamba tribe most. He has not currently met any members, but very much hopes to someday.

Amir loves the Kamba tribe because, they relate to cheetahs in so many ways! They Love Dancing with all the agility they can, and are even flexible! Amir Has always Practiced these dances in case he meets someone from a tribe.

Image

Amir LOVES the dances, he watches video after video perfecting his skills, he has to be able to dance with his tribe!
He decided he will dance with the tribe someday By the way, He wont stop until he does.

When Amir was in school, he was taught about Africa, and how they needed help. But he was also shown the beautiful dances they preform. His Favorite has always been the Kamba tribe dance. At home, or at party's he is always locked in a room studying the dances he saw for some amount of time. But It is always the Kamba tribe, No matter what! When he's at party's, He always has a bit of a hard time though, beans and people tent to find him where ever he hides. Especially Wolfeh. She always finds him and drags him out to the couch, where he has to use headphones (bleehhh). At home, Its only when he has to clean his room or friends come over that hes disturbed from studying.

Name: Ingwe (Zulu for leopard)
Which African tribe did he come from?: He came from a tribe in west africa, probably the ashanti's since the worship cats such as leopards and any man found killing one is liable to be put to death. He was probably taken there by his mother so he could be protected by the poachers searching around for a valuable rare cats fur. Since the beans fur is so simalar to the very rare kings cheetah he was vulnerable.
What African custom/tradition does he always follow?: Zulu tribe's culture. He is very creatuive and artistic. He loves to make arts and crafts and this tribe is very are well known for their beautiful brightly colored beads and baskets as well as other small carvings. The beads Ingwe wears he made himself, along with some other beans that he met in the tribe.
