The word 'tan' in Spanish is Bronceado -- I liked the sound of that, but it sounded too much like a boy's name, so I shortened it and changed the 'o' to an 'a,' since 'a' is more feminine (especially in Spanish terms xD).

Lime, although not related, treats Brance like a little sister, and in turn she sees him as an older brother. He watches out for her, because he knows that life can be hard sometimes, especially when you're a bit of a runt (a name that he fondly calls her, though she dislikes it). I feel like she's already worked pretty hard to get where she is right now, in her cocoon, awaiting acceptance from her emotionally and physically taller friends, until she's ready to show her true colors.
