Name:
Trisket
What do feathers mean to him?:
His grandfather was always around when Trisket was a smaller bean, and enjoyed telling Trisket of his numerous adventures into the wild during his own childhood. One day, Grandfather told Trisket of a peculiar glade, deep in the Willow Woods. This glade, for some strange reason, attracted the most beautiful birds in all the world. I went there once, Grandfather told him, and do you know what I saw? I saw hundreds - no, tens of hundreds of birds there, their plumages a stunning pattern of bright blue, white, and black. And you know what? I fell in love with those birds that day. But not once, not once! since then have I been able to find that glade again. And I've never seen another of those amazing avians, nor have I heard that anyone else around here has, either.
From that moment on, Trisket was emmersed into a plan to rediscover the glade and bring back one of the bright blue birds for his grandpa. But, not a year after that day, his grandfather was taken severely ill. Though he was away from home when Grandfather died, he swore determinedly that he would find the glade and bring back a bird, no matter how long it took him.
A few days later, he snuck away from his home in the middle of the night, his mind set on finding the secret sanctuary. It took him months - but finally, tired and hungry, Trisket found a beautiful pond that he was sure hadn't been there a few days ago. Was it possible that you had to pass the glade at a certain time or day? Whatever it's secret was, Trisket didn't care. He had found the legendary spot - now, where was the legend?
Feathers practically covered the ground from view, littering the glade with a splash of unnatural color. Trisket was stumped as to where the birds had gone, but there was absolutely no sign of them here. At least, no sign other than the numerous feathers. Had they all exploded, and all that was left were their feathers? It was a rediculous thought, but he considered it anyways, deeming nothing impossible. But after an hour or so of pondering, Trisket shrugged, gave up, and gathered around ten of the most brilliant feathers he could find. He put the majority in a satchel he'd brought along with him, but put a few behind his ear and in his tail. As he was about to leave the lonely glade, Trisket noticed a worn-out wooden sign. Approaching it, he noticed that it read, "Blue Jay Glen." Although he'd never heard the words blue jay before, he took them to be the name of the sacred bird, and left the glen with a feeling of resolved satisfaction.
Short Personality:
Trisket has a kind soul, but if you get in his way, he can get rude or even nasty. Once he's gotten his mind set on something, it's near impossible to shake him off the trail. He's fiercely loyal to his family; he wouldn't betray them for anyone, but he's subject to leaving them for short periods of time to experience more exciting things. He holds long grudges, so don't get on his bad side - he'll never forget it. But Trisket is also easily enthralled by nature and it's natural wonders; he spends a lot of time thinking about why, but he can never come up with a reason.
{ I wrote this on my iPod, so my apologies for any mistakes x3 I fell in love with Trisket the second I saw him under the main adopts page, and even though I was on my iPod, I knew I had to give it my best shot, because I would have never forgiven myself if I had let him go by without even trying x) So... Here's my best shot! Good luck everyone :) }
