Mel is one of those "I'm unique and I like it" type of people. She loves to go out and have fun with her friends. Mel also is a tomboy so she is occasionally covered in mud. Being many different animal prints she often stands out in a crowd and is not always liked for being like that. Melli is also very understanding and is often the person that comforts another and helps others aswell. Being an animal, she loves to run in the wind and swim.

So what do you expect my story to be about? Mel being all plain colored and then becoming unique? WRONG! If you really want to know you better keep reading.........
As usual at this time of day, Mel headed out to the forest to go visit her pet. Now I know what your thinking "Oh it's just like a butterfly or somethin'." Well no. Her pet is a forest sprite. Mel and Brucie have been friends since Mel was just a youngling. As Mel headed into the forest she noticed something different. The leaves of the trees were all a little shriveled and not a sound could be heard, except Melli's soft padding. Glancing worriedly around Mel keeps going and reach Brucie's tree homet. The window that was usuaslly shining a bright green was now black. Mel cautiously climbs up the steps and knocks on the door. "Brucie? You in there?" she calls glancing around. Raising her paw about to knock, Melli spots a path of green footsteps, Brucie's footsteps. Climbing back down the steps she begins to follow the trail. The trail led her to a beautiful grotto, but some how the place seemed, well forbidding. Gazing around Mel spots a greem bundle. Cautiously she pads closer to it. She nudges it with her nose and steps back in horror. It was Brucie. She was all shriveled up, and her eyes were closed. Her chest no linger rose and fell in her own unique pattern of breathing. Shaking her head in disbelief, Melli rushes forwards and pokes Brucie with her paw. With tears in her eyes Mel sits down head bent in sorrow. "No! You can't be dead! No!" She screams lifting her head and staring at the sky. Brucie had been the spirit of the forest protector, of aniamls and plants. What would happen now? Melli lifts Brucie onto her back and heads to a place only she and Brucie knew of. The green lake. It was a beautiful green lake surrouned by rough turrean and mountain ranges. By nightfal Melli reached and tiredly lays down. She lays Brucie next to her and falls asleep. Black, everything went black. Shaking her head in confusion Melli looks around. Amongst the black was a shiny green hazy fog. Mel takes wobbily steps towards it and it eventually envelops her. Melli closes her eyes in the haze and hears a voice. "Let go Melli. Let go of me. I will go to a better place, a place where I canwatch over you and protect you for all eternaty." the voice says. Melli frowns and says "Brucie?" Her eyes snap open and she is back by the lake on the grass. Glancing where she left Brucie her eyes widen in shock. In Brucie's place was a letter and a tail charm. Carefully unfolding the letter Mel reads:

˩ɛт ɢσ σғ мɛ. ˩ɛт мɛ яσαм ғяɛɛ ιи тнɛ иɛϰт ℓιғɛ κиσωιиɢ тнαт Ɩ αм мιƨƨɛ∂, вʋт ∂σ иσт ғɛɛℓ вα∂ αвσʋт, ωɛℓℓ ℓɛт'ƨ cαℓℓ ιт ℓɛαʌιиɢ. Δƨ ʏσʋ κиσω Ɩ ωαƨ тнɛ ɢαʋя∂ιαи σғ ғσяɛƨтƨ, σя κиσωи αƨ тнɛ ƨριяιт σғ тнɛ ғσяɛƨт, вʋт Ɩ cαи иσ ℓσиɢɛя вɛ ιи тнαт ρσƨιтισи. Melli looks at the charm and ties it to her tail. "Okay Brucie. I will." Mel says outloud so all beings of the forest could her her. She smiled in understanding and burries Brucie, marking it with an emerald headstone that read:

Δи∂ мʏ Єтɛяиαℓ ғяιɛи∂
Smiling Melli heads back to her village and resumes post of Forest Guardian for as long as she lives, knowing she was where she was mean't to be. Now a days the forest is in perfect health, but the aniamls now have a new threat.......Humans.
Ɯнʏ ∂σ ʏσʋ ωαит нɛя?:
At first I was like "Oh new thread! First adoptable! It would be awesome to get it!" But now I realize that I have grown less fond of my fursona by the day. Seeing the animal print, her yellow curve and dot mark on her cheek, and the 2 charms Melli has on her I come to the conclusion that Melli might actually work as being my new fursona! How glad I would be if this worked out! ^^
