By reading, or writing songs, poems, stories. There's no color needed to do such things, so it helps get over the trouble of differenciating the sky and grass, or see a perfect sunset. It's her passion. Seeing may not be the height of her senses, but hearing sure is.

Call her Chrome or Google (heehee, see what I did there? XD) - She can't stand the name Mono, and her full name bugs her.

Chrome has Complete Achromatopsia, or the inability to see any colour. She is only able to perceive black, white, and shades of grey. Achromatopsia is caused because of little to no function of the cone cells, or the cells that separate colour in the eyeball. This condition is associated with visual acuity loss, extreme light sensitivity and nystagmus (an involuntary, rapid and repetitive movement of the eyes, can be circular, horizontal, or vertical.) This is a genetic recessive trait, which means that it is inherited through genes in which both parents contribute a recessive gene to this.

.;-How does she deal with her vision defect?-;.

Chrome is stubborn, competitive, and has quite a tempter as a result. She doesn't understand that there really are colours and others can see them, She believes that everyone lives in a black and white world. She doesn't know that she's different in this sense, which is why she gets so angry when she's treated differently. She's a huge fan of the heat, but due to the fact that heat involves brightness, she can't be outside during the summertime, which really puts an edge to her temper. When others talk about colours, she's frustrated because they don't exist. She wonders a lot about others as well, which makes her a very assertive JBD. Because she's constantly shielding her eyes, and because she's usually found inside or in the shade, she doesn't understand why nobody else is. Although Chrome doesn't know it, she's very set apart from everyone, isolated even.

How does she deal with her vision defect?;;

Besides not being able to watch an old black and white movie or being able not to differ what her true profile is, Cieco doesn`t really look at her color blindness in a negative way, more in a positive and happy way actually. See Cieco has melanophobia, the fear of black, she considers black or darker shades of gray to be quite fearful, since she believes that the colors bring shady things with them or as if the ‘demon’ is hidden within those colors. Therefore, not being able to see those colors makes her quite happy, and Cieco doesn`t mind the ‘disadvantage’ at all.

Though with the color white or lighter shades of gray, Cieco never really thinks of the color being important but she does wonder what is white. Like the simple things, she doesn`t take this ‘disadvantage’ into disappointment either because she doesn`t look at many things as if being white. It`s just another useless color in her book, and Cieco won`t say she is happy about not being able to see the color or isn`t displeased about it either. Has long as she can see the beautiful colors, she`s happy with what she is seeing.
