Name: Tara Li Stryder Tara means "star" in Sanskrit. I also derived this from the name Tamara which means "spice" in Sanskrit. She is exciting and adds flavour to life, therefore I think that this name suits her well. Her middle name Li, is Chinese. This name has many meanings, among them being; 理 "reason, logic", 立 "stand", 黎 "dawn, black", 力 "strength, power" (these are adjectives normally associated with males, but I think still apply to her) or 丽 "beautiful" (which is generally the female adjective associated with this name). Finally, I came up with the name Stryder because she reminds me of someone who needs to be kept in motion, to "stride" around!
Gender: Female
Key Personality Traits:~ Passionate ~ She doesn't care about other individuals as much as she should, but she does have a huge interest in the betterment of forests and oceans. She might not go to help a single human or Kiamara in need, but if an animal has gotten trapped in a human cage, she will go out of her way to save them. She would give her life to save a large number of people though, because she strongly believes that the betterment of the whole is more important than the life of one. These morals are ingrained in her, but often leave her conflicted during difficult times.
~ Intensely Focused ~ She will block out the world when she "gets into something. She is known for becoming obsessed with an idea to the point of no return, for as long as it takes for her to "get it out of her system".
~ Strong Headed ~When she believes in someone or something, it can be downright impossible to convince her otherwise. Once an idea gets stuck in her mind that will be the only thing that will interest her until she had achieved her goal.
Hobbies:Loves to sculpt and create things. She is incredibly artistic and loves to create things with her paws. Much to the dismay of her limited number of friends, she has been know to leave the world for a few days and lock herself into her "art studio" when she feels excessive amounts of inspiration and ideas. She also had a thing for hights. She LOVES climbing, and doesn't mind going into isolated places to find them.
Most Meaningful Thing:Tara believes in always standing up for what is right, no matter the consequences. She believes in freedom, and that freedoms and expressions of self be allowed and enjoyed. While she doesn't always necesarrily value laws, she does support what they believe in and their meanings. If she has committed a crime, she will admit to it, and if she has to steal she will pay back (in one way or another) the amount that she took. She doesn't do these things for a thrill, but in cases of dire necessity only. She does consider herself to be a good Kiamara at heart, even though she sometimes does have to bend or break her own moral codes.
The most meaningful thing to her - in conclusion - would have to ultimately be, being open with others, yourself and standing up for the good of the whole.
Story:Tara wrote:There is life out there, and I want to be part of it....
I could see my breath before me, in the cold frigid air. My teeth clacked and chattered, and my fur raised on the back of my neck, just before
ZOOM! Another train crossed the tracks right in front of my face. This was it. I had to jump on now if I wanted to survive the next few months. It was either that, or go back to the same boring routine I had lived before. To me, that was worse than any danger caused by my launching myself into a moving train. I tucked my tail up, and tightned the feather hanging loose on my tail.
One.I looked around for anyone who might see me.
Two.I bent myself down into a lunge.
Three.I kicked myself up into the air with my strong back legs, and threw myself into an open compartement.
I landed with a jolt that ran up my side and had most likely twisted my ankle beyond any easy repairs, but I didn't care. I was finally free to live the life I wanted to live. You may ask yourself,
"Why would she do that? What kind of crazy person throws themselves at trains? Who is she? Another stupid adrenalin junky?"
The answer is simpler than you might presume. I was bored, and wanted to see more, to feel more than other people, even if that meant that I wouldn't always do the honest, or safe thing to make that happen. I wouldn't throw away my life for a thrill, but I would for a life I believe in. I'm a renegade, and NO ONE can stop me!
Poem:Here!
We lie in wait,
'Till the
dawn of
adventure'Till the setting of the
endWe already know what expects us,
With fangs and
ugly eyes,Yet,
We meet it head on,
EXPECTANTLYDanger's willing claws reach out to
capture us,Desperately grabbing at the
airBut we don't hesitate to
throw ourselves in.
Danger delightsbut,Doesn't Win it's Prize.
