UP's Name: Zigsa
Name Meaning: Snow leopard in Tibetan (Yes, I know that he is an UP and not a snow leopard.)
Weight: 1025lbs
Gender: MALE
Personality: Zigsa can lose his temper very quickly. He is friendly and nice when you know him, but if not he can be uncaring of you. Zigsa keeps to himself, and likes to be alone at points. He likes to joke around sometimes, but only if he's in a good mood. Zigsa can be sweet, and he would protect the ones he loves. Zigsa can get dead serious, but he can also be playful. Zigsa is nonchalant most of the time, and a lot underestimate him. He can get a little lazy, but he always gets around to doing things at some point.
How you came across this Underwater Panther: I could see my breath in front of me. The cold sent a shiver down my back, so I pulled my jacket around me tightly and plowed through the fresh piled snow. I was walking alone toward the lake, enjoying the sights of nature. I had gotten bored inside my house, and it was the weekend so I decided to take a walk.
Since I lived in a lonely place in the woods of Canada near the Great Lakes, I went there quite often. Snow sloshed into my boot when I stepped into a deep hole. I growled in disgust as the snow seeped into my layers of socks and made my foot wet. In my irritation, I shook my foot violently in the air. Like that would change anything.
Suddenly, a cracking sound hit my ears, and everything in my body froze momentarily. A growl followed afterwards, and then I heard more cracking. Every bone in my body was aching to turn and run, but I walked silently forward. The ice of the lake caught my eye, and I neared it very slowly.
A horrible noise filled the air, just as I hid at the side of the tree. I was a good 20 feet from the shore of the wide lake. The horrible noise happened again, this time closer to me. I peered around the trunk cautiously. And there it was.
It was much larger than me, and it looked like a mutation of some sort. It was slashing at a tree trunk just a few feet away from me. I gasped in shock and horror. This thing... It was so beautiful, and yet it looked like it was the scariest creature on earth. And then it froze, and I saw its eyes shift to me. Immediately, I turned and ran.
But it was right there, chasing after me. My heartbeat quickened, and then my legs gave out. My knees buckled and i tumbled to the ground. I swore loudly. Why? Why did my clumsiness have to happen right now?
The animal pinned me to the ground, and I squirmed with terror. "Help!" I scream, as loud as my breathless lungs would let me. "Someone help me!" I choked, tears coming out of my hazel eyes.
Then I realized that the animal wasn't doing anything to me. I sniffled, the cold of the snow sending shivers up my spine. Carefully and slowly, I raised my eyes to the animal.
Our eyes locked, and I suddenly wasn't afraid of him anymore. My muscles let go of their tense state. The animal stepped off of me, and I got to my feet. He stared at me, and I stared back at him. I felt like we were connected somehow.
"Zigsa..." I whispered, and he stepped forward. I didn't know why I had said that, but I knew that he looked sort of like a snow leopard. I also knew that Zigsa was Tibetan for snow leopard. How? My friend was taking Tibetan classes, and she had often educated me about it.
"Zigsa." I said loudly and firmly. The creature walked to me and nuzzled my head with his own. "I shall call you Zigsa."
