;I AM A FORM;Username;Sketchy
Gender;Female
Desired name; Irirangi (ee ree RAH ngee) - Iri for short -
spirit voiceWhy you want him/her;Her markings and colors are beautiful and I have a thing for Ghost Towns. Seeing fully furnished houses with food still on the table, and whatnot, is both exciting and eerie. It would be fascinating to see how people lived(especially if the city/town had been evacuated)
Art;When she was still a fairly small Lermy
Personality;Iri is very fun and excitable. Loves telling ghost stories, playing cowboys(talk with an accent/ride horses/use a lasso/duel), and hanging around by the fire on a nice night. Her favorite story to tell is how the town came to glow with the leftover memories of previous inhabitants. When life turns sour, she always has a way to spin it right around. Being a good host is important, she puts everyone elses' needs before her own and ALWAYS makes them smile.
Will you ever forget your Lermy;Heck no! These are a very interesting and unique species. I really love how cute and excitable they look!
Do you own any other Lermies currently;Nope, this is one of the few that stuck out to me. The markings and colors are beautiful.
Have you read the rules;Yes
Do you agree that I am able to take this Lermy away if mistreated;Yes
Other;The night was dark, the moon was bright, and the light bugs floated on the gentle breeze.
Irirangi whispered to the light bugs, but she was too far away to understand. Perhaps she was speaking to them in another language, which only they could understand? Suddenly she stood up, tall and still. Her head slowly turned to face me, and a twisted smile ran across her face.
Paralyzed, I could not move nor udder a sound. Even my memory of how I got here eluded me.
The slinky figure bounded towards me, but it wasn't preditory in nature. She seemed more excited than anything.
I felt myself relax enough to take a few steps back, but she was already only a few feet away.
"HEY THERE! HI!" She exclaimed, and her voice softened "Don't be scared, darlin'. My name is Irirangi, 'n I am a spirit whisperer. The only Lermy, I know of, that can do so!"
I fell backward in surprise. Words still could not escape my lips. All I could do was stare.
"Oh come now! Don't be that way." She held her paw out to me, "lets get ya some food."
I nodded and took her paw.
"Thanks" I smiled politely. Though I still couldn't remember how I got here.
I followed her down a beaten path. The light bugs seemed to increase in numbers the further we went. Everything around seemed to glow. "Iriangi, wh--"
"Call me Iri", she interrupted with a smile.
"Alright, Iri, why are there so many fireflies?" I feared I might step accidentally step on one if their numbers became any more dense.
"They aren't fireflies." She said. I couldn't read her tone, it seemed almost sad. "They are mem'ries. Mem'ries that've manifested themselves into the form of light bugs."
"Oh.. Who's memories? What kind of memories?" My curiosity was getting the better of me.
"Do you want ta hear a story?" She looked at me, again I couldn't read the emotion on her face.
I nodded.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When it started. Life. Me. A world was created, but the world was empty. Sure it supplied food, water, and shelter; But I needed more. My world must've sensed it, because soon I started seeing more elaborate shelters in my travels. Still, just like everything in my world, they were empty. Every last one of them. I decided to go for a long walk in search of something more. Take a direction I've never headed, and walk until I find what I crave. (For whatever reason, I also did not have the urge to leave my world.)
It took many light/dark cycles before I came upon the town. I didn't know what a town was, at the time, but it was an area with many shelters. Each shelter seemed to have different purpose. It didn't take me long to realize, but there was life! Pink things, much like yourself, worked the land. They gathered food and water, they built more shelters, and rode on the backs of other lifeforms(which they called horses). So much creating! They made clothes from the skins of their "livestock", which were animals used for sustenance. The men who rode horses called themselves cowboys. They had many stories to tell.
I spent countless cycles with these beings, soaking up all the knowlege they brought, delighting in the company they gave.
Slowly, without warning, my people began to vanish. Only the horses remained. I pleaded with my world to give me something in return for the disappearences. So my world gave me the memories. Spirits of the lost. Each one is a happy memory of the times we all had.
Every so often the world would fill the shelters again with life, and the cycle began again.
When a cycle has ended, I converse with my memories, sing to them, bask in their light, remembering the good times had. In the end it wasn't enough, and I was sick of the hurt.
I decided to leave my world. The fact that I could leave had almost been forgotten.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Outside I found you!" Her large smile infectious, "You are the one I wanted ta come back with me, ta share in the delights of my world. Somehow, I know you cannot be transformed into mere mem'ries."
She took my hand.
"Don't worry, I wont become light bugs." I laughed.
"OH LOOK! There t'is!" She shouted, pointing at the small town up ahead. She let go of my hand and bounded towards the town, I could hardly keep up with her.
An abandoned town full of spirits? How exciting! I thought to myself as I tried to keep pace.
I, Sketchy, will love my Lermy forever, I will make sure to follow the species rules, and I will use my Lermy correctly.
