Short story:
It was an early Saturday morning when I found the gear. Or rather, my cow found it and I just happened to notice she was chewing a piece of glowing metal rather than grass. The silly calf gets into all sorts of things. That's Mischief for you. Even better when I found out she had taken a liking to that gear, and didn't want to give it up. Letting a young cow turn a magic gear with the spirit of a monster inside into her own personal chew toy isn't exactly the brightest idea, so of course I had to try and get her to drop it.

I tried tempting her with a carrot to see if she would open her mouth but she kept it clamped shut, giving me an "Is that all?" look. I showed her two more carrots, and then the rest of the bag when she still looked at me like I was trying to buy her vote for a penny. I added some corn to her bribe pile, but this was getting ridiculous. When did my cow become a professional in negotiation? One extra bag of oats and half busshel of apples later, I was holding a cow-drool covered gear and Her Highness of Deal Making was enjoying a buffet of half my pantry. I feel as if I ended up with a worse deal than I thought.

Hi,Im Amxen.I travel around looking for things that need help.I found a gear in a place called Twilight Town.A boy came up to me and said a gear had fallen off the clock tower.He said he knew I helped things in need.Of course,I have no idea what this thing does.Mabey it helped the clock move,or made the bells ring...or it was in the engine of the ghost train.After all,the clock tower is the train station.It is posable that it was the gear that powered the ghost train.All I know is that the boy that gave me the gear said not to unlock it,but I will.
