    First Name:

    Iditya, meaning Sun.

    Last name:

    Sand

    Gender:

    Male

    Art:

    Drawn by: Imperishable/me, link.

More art is on the way~

    Favorite Activity:

Aditya, like his name, loves sun bathing. If he could, he'd lay out in the sun all day. Also true to his name, he loves the sand. Sand tends to be warmer than the grass or gravel, and in his opinion, much more comfy. His ideal day is a hot, sunny day laying on equally hot, warm, smooth sand.

    Personality:

"Even if I go blind, I'll still feel your warmth."

Aditya is a very laid back jelly, and very relaxed. He is quite friendly, but would perfer to sleep in the sun than to socialize. In the winters, he can by quite jumpy, and always in the search of a warm fire to curl up next to. If all else fails, he'll curl up to another person, or jelly for the comforting warmth.

"Welcome a new morning, for the sun rises with us."

    Likes:

The sun, the sand, and warmth. As fire, summer, and other natural light sources, light shows both man made and natural, and just about anything warm and comforting. Soft noises like a crackling fire, and sensations like his toes in the warm sand.

He does like a nice, cold refreshing drink every now and then, but would perfer warm drinks like hot chocolate and coffee.

    Dislikes:

Ice, snow, and winter. He also dislikes loud noises, or noises and sensations of his paws padding through the snow and slush.

    Reasoning:

My reason for wanting this jelly is simple, but I have more than one. The main one is the design - its gorgeous and capivating. I love the brown and the blue, and the simple design. Over all, just a design to be sought after.

My second is that I myself, and First Nation/Native American. I'm more of a mutt, but First Nation is heavy in my, and my families veins. So I'm naturally drawn to this sort of design.

My third is, I've never won a jelly, let alone a character anywhere. I think it's because I'm honestly quite picky, and don't try out much because of that, and having two recent loses in two jellies, I'd like to try one more time. I hope this time is the winning time, but I wish luck to anyone else who is in love with this design, and hope he will be well cared for. <3

If I ever won him, he'd get a spot on my dearest character thread, as writing this form, I got quite attached. This would include a back story, as lots of art, and possible roleplays. He'd end up in my signature, and avatar of course!

    Luck to all ~<3

When I Saw You In That Art
(Title explanation: I learned of this JBD while I was browsing the Fanclub; I saw a piece of art of JBD 271, and I got all confused. I thought it must be new so I checked the JBD Adopts and saw him.)

"In my mind,
if my jaw could drop to the ground,
it would right now.

I just know this JBD is for me,
I feel my heart beating twice as fast.
I feel that excitement building up, up, up...

Ideas are popping into my head like a hurricane,
this boy is beautiful beyond describable.
I'll give it my all, because this is one JBD
that really shines down on my spirit like a spotlight.

He listens to both sides of every story, both the wronged and the accused even if it's himself. He is a very cold creature when he feels his family, or anyone he cares about is threatened and he becomes as prickly as a porcupine and as savage as a badger. ((Btw Great Brother Emerald is not mine at all, just a made up JBD who I do not own but needed to create this picture and story))

Favorite Activities:

Fishing:
'The air was cool against his fur as he sat silent and unmoving on the riverbank, his jade green eyes trained solely on the shadowy swimmers in the crystal blue water below. His paw was slightly raised, poised to strike upon the slightest motion of the scaly fish below. A simple stick and some string made an ideal fishing rod. Tail flickering slightly he narrowed his eyes and waited like how own father had taught him before.

Listening to the Elder's stories: 'Wappo listened intently as Great Brother Emerald began his tale of how the first Jelly Bean Dragon created the land. "He rose hills into mountains with an arch of his back. Turned small puddles into raging seas with his long legs. His eyes he used to light the moon and sun while his tail whipped mighty winds. Forests he raised with his paws, from little blades of grass." Wappo looked at his own paw and gazed at it before turning back to the Elder. His ears twitched as the Elder continued. "Then he began to give the world animals starting with the mighty buffalo and ending with the lowly earthworm. When all was said and done he finally created the Jelly Bean Dragon from which he made from clouds in the sky for our fluffiness, earth on the ground for sturdiness, rocks for strength, water for our swiftness and fire for heart. Then he spoke and said 'Unto all of you on the Earth, in the Air, or in the Sea I speak.' He said, and all the creatures big and small listened. "I must rest for now for I am weary from creating you all, but when I awake again I hope to see you all in happiness and health. Please help me see to this dream.' And with a mighty roar of breathing fire he leapt high into the clouds and became one with the sun. Which is why the sun is the greatest flame in the sky." The Elder reared up at the end creating a mighty shadow on the cave wall before he jumped down off of his Rock and padded over to Wappo. "Did you enjoy my story?" He asked the young critter who nodded happily. "It's my favorite Great Brother." Wappo murmured and dipped his head respectfully to the elder. The green JBD smiled and nudged his grandson before heading out of the hut.

yup, lots of art. You have no idea how long it took to pose for those. *streches stiff muscles*

Favorite Activity
Choula loves to sculpt. He carries tiny statues of his friends, pets, and favorite objects. He kneads clay when he's bored or nervous. In fact, the only thing Choula has ever carried in his pouch has been clay and statues. Growing up in an artistic jam helped a lot with his sculpting motivation as he grew up. Kneading clay also helps him control himself at times, almost like a stress ball.
Personality
-hotheaded-

Chou is just about the opposite of his adopted big bro, Donut. Where Do is sweet and shy, Chou is loud, outspoken, and loses his temper very easily. His biggest pet peeve is being seen as a child, and believe me, whn his temper goes off, he will storm through things like a whirlwind. Chou tryies hard to keep his cool most of the time, but it is very hard for him.

-passionate-

Choula is a flirtatious JBD who doesn't give up easily. He will dig himself deeply into something and work at it until it's done.

-stubborn-

As I stated before, Chou does not give up without a fight. He's as stubborn as a mule, and can be a little rude at times.

-loyal-

Despite being a stubborn, hot-headed boy, Choula would never ever leave a friend for anything. He is one of the most loyal dragons I have ever encountered. This is a blessing and a weakness, as he will do anything for a friend.

Yeah, yeah, apparently according to Hurricane I have a lot of negative traits. So what? *rolls eyes*
Choula's Q&A
- What's your favorite color?
I'd have to say either red or black.

- How about your favorite food?
Hmm, that's a tough one. I like pears a lot, but I'd have to say my all time favorite food is mint ice cream.

- Favorite drink?
jeez, why so many "what's your favorite ____" questions? If you've absolutely gotta know, it's soda

- Ok, I'll stop with the favorite questions. Do you have a crush? eue
I can't believe you! Can we move on to the next question? Of course I don't have a crush!

- Alright, I'll stop. Ok. Do you prefer daytime or night?
alright then. I'm not much of a night owl, but I do love my sleep. ouo. I guess daytime is more my thing.

- Running out of questions here, how about this one? Why do you like to sculpt?
I like to sculpt because it helps me relieve stress. Instead of growling, I'll work my paws into my clay like there's no tomorrow. I like to make little figures of my friends as well. :3 I like to carry them with me so I always have them around.

- Here's one; what is your favorite color of clay?
My absolute favorite, paws down is glow in the dark clay. I like how it's always bright, and I can use it even after its dark. :3

History/Story ( Choula's point of view)
I was born and raised like any other JBD, by a house pet mother with no father around. She was a show dragon, who took pride in producing beautiful beans. I had dozens of siblings, some older, some younger than l by the time I was only seven. I was a very small bean, but I had the biggest temper. While my brothers and sisters were "sweet" and "charming", I was the one Mama was pulling out of fights with other kids. I was tired of being stepped on and scolded, so eventually, I started to venture out into the woods, were Mama forbade us to go.
"There are disgusting "wild dragons" in there." She would tell us at night. "They don't get fed by people, and they dig through trash just to eat a fine meal." She said as she peered at her claws, inspecting them for any imperfection. And tucking us into our collective bed, she would walk back into the living room to curl up on the couch besides our owner.
I often wondered about the wild, and once I st arted into the forest for the first time, I knew I would love it. It was so open and free compared to the closed in walls of our suburban home. Amazed, I gazed above me at the treetops and marveled at the beautiful amber leaves. Captivated by the plants, I didn't look at where I was going, and slammed into a wall of orange fur. I looked up..... and craned my head back all the way to see ths face of a not-so-happy looking dragon.
"What are you doing here?" He asked gruffly, staring at my pampered body. I felt as I he was stripping me down, my well-brushed fur useless against his cold gaze. I cowered, meekly answering, "Umm... I don't know?"
He looked me over once more, and asked, "You lost?"
I cringed and thought. If I said yes, he might try and take me back home, or possibly talk to me more. If I said no, he would probably just walk away.
"Yes." I lied quickly, knowing I was probably getting myself into trouble.
He sighed, and introduced himself. "I'm O.J. Would you like to join my jam? " he asked, sounding forced.
"Sure!" I answered eagerly. Maybe living in a jam would be better than being slept on by bigger siblings. I followed O.J through the brush, dodging branches springing back behind him.
Finally, we arrived in a gigantic clearing flanked on all sides by large oak trees. Looking around, I saw lots of JBDs. As we walked by, a young looking purple spotted girl rushed by, holding leaves in her mouth.
"That's Ixchel. " OJ introduced the odd dragon. She stopped for a second to say hello, and sped off.
As we neared the center of the clearing, OJ cleared his throaght loudly. "Listen up, guys!" He called as everyone turned to see what the fuss was. "This kid wants to join the jam, so make him welcome. "
The orange and blue dragon bent down towards me. "I never did catch your name, kid." He said.
"Well, my mom called me Todd." I answered hesitantly. He snorted, making me flinch.
"That's no name for a dragon! " he proclaimed. "We need to get you a better name." He picked me up by the scruff easily and carried me into a cave, where a purple and blue striped dragon waited.
"Hey, Berry!" He called as we entered the dimly lit cave. She turned her head and smiled.
"Ah, a new recruit!" She laughed.
"He needs a better name." OJ explained." I mean, really. Todd?" I protested, but my cries went unheard as Berry thought. She walked over to a bookshelf and got out a thick volume titled "The Book of Names." Turning the pages, she peered at a specific spot and raised her head.
"I've got the perfect name." Her eyes sparkled playfully. "Choula! It means Fox in Choctaw. "
"Cool!" I said eagerly. I didn't want to upset them within the first few minutes I was here. And besidesthe name ment fox, and that was pretty cool.
The next few months went by pretty easily, and I settled in nicely as the JBDs in my jam got used to me. Surprisingly, the kids here were nice than the beans I had known in the suburbs, despite my mother defining them as ruffians and hooligans. We had gotten into a habit of going out into the woods together, usually me and about three other beans.
On one such occasion, on my 9th birthday, my two best friends, Kiwaro and Ixchel had gone with me into the woods. Our little trio had ventured further than usual, and we were starting to get nervous.
Just then, a sharp crack sounded throughout the woods. Kiwaro looked at Ixchel.
"Did you step on something?" He asked. She shook her head, and turned to me, her purple eyes asking me the same question.
"Me neither." I shook visibly, looking around. A shadow slipped silently behind the trees, and as I turned to look at it more closely, a fox stepped daintily out from the trees, eyes narrowed and drool dripping from it's jaws. None of us were bigger than it, despite Ixchel and Kiwaro both being at least a year older than me. The fox studied us, deciding which to go for.
Kiwaro glared, staring down the predator, and the fox sank to the ground and slunk around him. Obviously, he wasn't the one to attack. I sighed with relief, thinking it would leave.
I was wrong.
The fox lunged for me, surmising that I would be the easiest to subdue. Caught by surprise, I twisted myself into a ball at first, while the fox bit at me and whined in frustration.
Angry, I exploded out from underneath the fox, and clawed at him. The fox, startled, snarled at me and scratched me right back. But I would not give up. Oh no, the ball of ratty fur would get what was coming to him. I pounded my paws over his face again and again, until his struggles died down and I released him. The russet canine ran off, tail between his legs.
The battle over, I stood wearily, wobbling slightly as I sat down. There was something sharp digging into my side, and I pulled it out, expecting a large thorn. Instead, in my paw I found a slightly bloodied tooth! It must have fallen from the fox's mouth, I surmised. Ixchel stared at it.
"Is that....... a tooth?" She asked. "Oh my gosh, is it yours?" She asked with wide eyes. I shook my head, and replied.
"No, i-I think it's the fox's. " I said tentatively. Tucking it into my pouch quickly, I started to leave the clearing. "Come on," I said "before the fox's friends get any ideas.
We traveled silently after that, and were all relieved to see the cheerful colors of our camp. But once we got through the trees, we saw just how chaotic it was at that moment. JBDs were rushing everywhere, search parties being sent out. All of a sudden, O.J. spotted us.
"There you are!" He said, running over. "We've been looking everywhere for you!" Noticing my scratches, he stopped. "What happened?"
I answered him. "A fox attacked us." Digging into my pouch, I pulled out the tooth. " Got his tooth, though." I held it up, looking closely at it. OJ laughed.
Startled, I looked at him questioningly. He chuckled, "looks like you lived up to your name after all, kid."
"I guess I did. " I said proudly.
Fir the next week, we pretty much partied and played. I eventually got tired of telling my tale, and Ixchel took over, turning my small scrap with the fox into a five hour fight with a giant canine. I set things straight, but hey, if they want to think I took down a dog three times my size, so be it.
One of my other friends, Ducky, helped me turn the fox tooth into a necklace, just as a little memento. The rest of the next few years, my jam traveled, searching for a perfect place to call home. We found it in a small valley several miles from my first house. It was secluded and peaceful, and everyone was happy.
This is where we still live, in our hidden valley. And as I end this tale, remember, this is not the end of my story.
