What is a Jellybean Dragon?
A Jellybean Dragon is a fluffy, friendly dragon that hatches from a jellybean-like egg. Their diet consists of fruits and insects, but they also love sweets and desserts. Their fur is soft and long, usually brightly colored and it's always neat and shiny. Jellybean Dragons are gentle and happy, and love attention. Most are Great Dane-sized when they are fully grown, but some of them can grow as big as a cow. All Jellybean Dragons have pouches on their bellies, which they use to carry around food or younger JBDs.

Oh dear, finding a good place to start is always the hardest.....so I suppose I'll have to just start at the beginning. Way back when I discovered JBD's through someone else -sadly can't remember who- and knew instantly that I needed to try for one. I found Ren one day when checking to see if any new ones had come out and fell for him, hard. So I worked my butt off, ordered art of him, wrote poems, wrote stories, and fell even more in love with him after that. Winning him was....well, one of the best experiences of my life. These things are more than just pixels you know, they're characters, and they become a part of you just as much as any pet does. Anyway, for a long time afterwards I was content, happy with just one JBD to keep me company. Of course, as time went on I began to see all the people with multiple JBD's, always bickering with each other and just having fun in general, and I admit I was really jealous. So it began that I started to look at various JBD's and consider applying for them. I'll admit that at first I was just applying in order to have a second one, I liked the designs but didn't love them. Recently the ones I applied for were starting to mean more to me, and losing each of them felt like a physical blow. I did say I was going to apply for 234, all the hype around her and her vivd markings seemed like a lot of fun. But somehow, having this humble girl -or at least, humble when compared to the crazy design of 234 and 235- appear changed everything for me. This isn't about liking a design or thinking she's pretty, though she is, this is about how I connected with her.

The instant I saw her I felt it, a tug at my heart. Much as I loved how fancy 234 was....she stole my heart away. The reason why? Seeing her I was reminded that ordinary is anything BUT ordinary, she emanates this....sweet and gentle persona that just sings directly to my soul. I can't really explain it exactly, but every time I look at her I fall a little bit more in love. Apart even, from all of that connection stuff, she seems like the type who would get along amazingly with Ren. And seeing as he is my first ever JBD...well, thats an important thing to consider.

Perhaps the biggest reason though was the fact that in looking at her I saw myself. Apart from the fact that I own pink headphones like that -no seriously, I do XD- I also have brown hair and am on the quieter side. Two things that I think she holds within her. Hazel's very design is much more subtle than most of the current JBD's, and yet looking at her I can't help but think that she has a strength of self and a silent beauty that outshines all of them. I have to say that I've never quite fallen this hard for a JBD before, apart from Ren, and that would be a huge reason for wanting to try for her. I don't want to get another JBD that I love more/less than Ren, I want one I can love just as much....and she seems to be the one <3

I know my reasoning is long and jumbled, but the feelings I have for her at the moment...well, I could probably write up five pages worth of why I want her, and why I love her so much. I just...I dunno, its hard to put into words how I feel. A lot of the time when I write up these sort of "Why you want it" sections, I feel like I'm too clinical about it, so I just...I really want to convey that what I feel for her can't exactly be contained in a couple of words or fancy sentences. Its like....an all-consuming feeling, she seriously has invaded my dreams, thoughts, and mind. I know she'll go to an amazing home no matter what you decided, but I'd be lying if I didn't desperately hope it was me XD Regardless, I just wanted to sort of....try and let you see a little more into my heart and what I'm feeling. Do I love her more than Ren? Its hard to say, I know none of us -probably- have children, but I imagine I feel the way you would if you had two kids. You don't love one more than the other, but both equally and deeply. Thats what Hazel is to me, and no matter what happens I'll always love her <3

For now though this is it, I can only hope that its enough to win me my second dream JBD ^-^ Thank-you for the opportunity Bonus and for breathing life into her, it means the world to me that she exists.

Hazel
It seemed like the absolute perfect name for her, given that she is similar in colour to a hazelnut. I also happen to adore that name, and just the word hazel I associate with these shades of brown, so it just kinda.....felt right.

Yup, I love my name. My momma gave it to me, and that alone is another reason to hold on tightly to it. You never really know what gifts your parents will bestow on you to keep forever, but my name was one of them. She told me once that on the day I was born the first thing she said to my Da was "Oh my, I think we have a little Hazelnut on our paws!" And the name just sort of stuck.

Close friends, like Ren, often tease her by calling her "Haze" or "Nut" both of which annoy her to death.

Oh dear, don't get me started on those moronic boys and "friends" of mine. They sure do like to tease me, gives life to the saying "With friends like these, who needs enemies?" I do love them mind, but....they get annoying. Especially Ren, he just loves calling me "Nut." Really though, who WOULDN'T be offended at that? Haze too....I mean, its not a nice word. Its either a generally brutal initiation practice, or a dreary film that obscures a clear view of the sky...

She is 19 years of age.

Ah yes, 19 years....believe me, I couldn't forget how old I was if I wanted to. Ren loves to lord the fact that he's an adult while I'm not over me, not to mention the fact that he has horns while I don't. As if I care, he still acts like a five year old, and yet he scolds me.

I'm slightly perturbed that you need to ask me that, isn't it rather obvious? I like to think I look feminine....well, at any right I am indeed a female so....yeah, next question?

Just making this brief because I don't want the form to be too long.

Writing a personality doesn't make the character, you can't contain a being within a few words. But at the very least this can give you some insight into Hazel's general mood and temperament.

Hazel can be summed up with a few different characteristics. Above everything she is kind, she has a gentle sweetness to her that will not be denied. If someone is in pain, hurting emotionally, or doing ill in general, you can expect Hazel to be there with her wide green eyes trying to help. She also is incredibly musical this isn't terribly surprising, given that wherever she travels she can be found listening to music. Give her an instrument, teach her some lyrics, or just sit and watch her for a while and you're bound to find yourself hearing music of some kind. Whether this means she'll start singing, playing special JBD instruments, or doing something else completely depends only on her mood. A third trait would be that she tends to be impatient. No one is perfect, and this is Hazel's biggest struggle. She doesn't like waiting for...well...anything. It also relates to her interactions with others, when Ren or another JBD starts to tease her or act stupidly, Hazel isn't the sort to just take it, she's far more likely to go on an explosive rampage and freak out at them. A final trait would be the fact that she is loyal. Hazel is the sort of girl who would lay her life down for her friends without question, she also sticks with them no matter what once she considers them a friend.

Okay, now that I've gone to make sure I'm not trying for too many different JBDs, I shall try out for this one!

I want her because she reminds me of myself because I love to listen to music and dance, plus my favorite color is green, and it reminds me of one of my dreamies that I achieved, the headphones dog! Plus, I don't yet own a JBD and want one so I can participate in JBD stuff, like roleplays.
