Personality ~
Lumi doesn't have many friends, just because she isn't a very social Jellybean Dragon, however the friends she does have she is completely loyal to. If they are in need of help, she'll be there, or if they want to hang out, no matter how reluctant she is, she'll come and talk or play with them. In the face of danger, Lumi doesn't back down; she is always ready to defend her friends, or those weaker than she, or laugh at scary movies while everyone else stares at her like she is insane. When a new Jellybean Dragon comes around, Lumi never approaches first, and most of them just ignore her as if she didn't exist. Those who do approach her to become her friend have a long way to go in gaining her trust because of her anti-social behavior and wariness of others.

For Lumi its hard for her to be cheerful like so many of the other Jellybean Dragons, and the older Jellybean Dragons mark it up to the dark grey base colour of her fur. That isn't to say she can't be cheerful, she has many things in her life that make her happy and just gets her talking for hours upon hours about the subject. She thanks her lucky stars everyday for the good in her life, and tries her best not to dwell on the negative, though sometimes it can be difficult for her to do so.

Patience isn't one of Lumi's strong suits. If she was promised to be taken swimming one day, she would be impatient to leave all day, and would bug whoever would listen, and sometimes those who wouldn't listen. When scolded about this, she generally quiets for about ten to twenty minutes before picking up again with her bugging. She doesn't mean to, but she can't help it. If someone gets angry at Lumi, or gets on to her for something she has done, she won't ever get mad, but will take the scolding soundly and then bounce right back to her usual self after apologizing, whether something was her fault or not. This being said, anger is never an issue for Lumi. She won't get upset easily, and if she does get angry, it doesn't take much for her to get glad, all in the same fur she got mad in.

Lumi lives in a dream world most of the time. She believes that whatever you dream, no matter how impossible it seems, it will eventually come true if you believe it will. So if she dreamed she could fly (Which she does all the time) then she believes its possible for her to one day be able to fly. However she is level-headed and knows she will never sprout wings, but that doesn't stop her from dreaming up ways for her to get into the sky and actually live her dream.

When she isn't reading, or swimming, sleeping, or hanging out (although somewhat reluctantly) with friends, Lumi is thinking up new designs for rooms in her owner's house, or sketching out things she later forgets to draw. She also loves to write and come up with new stories. Her room is littered with ideas and stories started on but never finished (Her owner wrote them down for her).

Why the Name and the Gender ~ I chose Lumi's First and Last names due to the bright yellow of her markings one the light and dark grey body and light grey markings reminded me of stars and shooting stars. The yellow on the greys is beautiful and stands out like the white-yellow-red stars do in the sky at night, and the stars peeping out as the sun is setting. Her nickname Joya I chose because jewels are bright, and Lumi's personality shines just as brightly and is just as beautiful as a jewel. While the overall appearance of Lumi looks masculine, the markings and colours/markings speak to me otherwise, and make me think of a female, thus Lumi is female.

Song Reason ~ Its a beautiful song, and when I heard the name I sort of laughed. It fits her perfectly, showing you can have a bad day, but you can shine extremely bright and lift your spirits by thinking better things and rejoicing in everything good in your life rather than focusing on the bad things. The lyrics remind me that friends, or a significant other, can also lift your spirits and can see you for who you really are.

History ~ Like all JBD's, Lumi was hatched from a jellybean-shaped egg, the colour of the eggshell a dark grey, indicating what colour her fur would be. When she hatched Lightning Bugs and other small creatures of the night gathered around to watch the beautiful scene playing out under the light of the full, waxy moon. As the fireflies on both the ground and the in the air periodically lit up their lights in joy, the animals of the night chattered to themselves. As the beautiful baby finally emerged from the jelly-bean shaped egg that had been her home ever since she had a conscious thought, and even before that, she gazed around with yellow eyes still fuzzy. Wobbling out of the shell fragments, Lumi fell several times but always picked herself back up and continued on, finally stopping to where her little body stood in front of her old home. A hush has fallen over the crowd, even the wind had stopped, as if it too were waiting to see what the little Jellybean dragon would do. She let out a tiny noise and began nibbling at the grass, then stuck out her tongue when she found it tasted nasty. Lumi grew quickly, and exactly a week after she had hatched Lumi got her markings. At this point the other Jellybean Dragons had started calling her Luminosa, Lumi for short, and the name just stuck. Lumi loved her friends, and new found family, and is still frolicking and hanging out with them today.

Why do I want this JBD? ~ I don't normally put why I want an adoptable on my forms for anything, but I decided I would for this one. I want Lumi because I just absolutely LOVE the design, and she inspires me to draw. I've been in a creative rut for a while, not wanting to draw, or write my stories... I had lost my inspiration. I saw this girl and I was like... 'Wow, this would be something neat to draw!' and I've found myself doodling now on everything again, and thinking up new story ideas about just all kinds of things. I know this sounds silly xP But its the truth. She would also be my first Jellybean Dragon. C:

Weaknesses and Strengths ~
Strengths ~ She is great at swimming, and can catch water insects before they even know whats hitting them. She can beat a few of the fastest JBDs in a race, and can catch fast insects

Weaknesses ~ She isn't a very good climber, so she cannot reach fruit high in trees where the best fruit usually rests. Lumi gets distracted easily, which causes her to go without food every once in a while during the afternoon/evening.

I tried to make this form short and to the point, as I really need time to develop Lightening's true self. This JBD looks amazing, thank you for the opportunity to adopt him.
If I happen to win him, he will be a character of mine. I am considering writing a story with him as well. C:

Nick Names: Storm
~ The names are really for his looks, and go along with his personality. His grey colors show a storm, and the bright yellow reminds me of bold lightening, popping throughout the sky. It could also symbolize the sun peeking out behind the grey weather. This could show that he is optimistic, even in bad situations(weather).
Gender: Male
~ cuz' he looks like a male, to me. I would also like a sweet, protective male, to be with my other JBD, Maraschino Cherry.
Age: In human years, he is 15. Though some would expect he is older, due to his maturity.

Personality:
Lightening just likes to keep to himself, but he isn't afraid to insult you or show his anger. He can completely block his emotion, looking very blank. He gets depressed easily, but tries to hide it. He can loose his temper easily, and his inner storm lets loose. He is very protective, and is not scared to threaten anyone if it comes to it. Despite what you may think, he actually is optimistic. He is very honest, and trustful. He is a big, tough guy, and can seem intimidating.
