"Sometimes I do not have to travel far in order to find a new Rune Dragon. Some of those times the Runes may come to me in search of aid. One such rune is a Clockwork Gear Rune, I call it that because of how he looks after I have pieced the poor fellow back together. You see, in our world of Eona we face conflict from time to time. A new government is rising and they wish to separate the bonds between Rune Bearers and their dragons. This rune must have been caught in a battle with a human who tried to separate it from it's partner, or maybe it's human was killed in the battle. Whatever the cause, I found it in the streets of the capital, Alabaster City, where it laid in a broken and bloodied heap. It's wing's were torn from it's body and one of it's eyes and foot was missing as well. It's tail was barely noticeable as I stared down at it in horror. I wasting no time in taking it home with me and trying to keep the rune alive. It has a strong spirit to stand up against those who wish to kill it's kind but in this Steampunk era I am able to piece intricate metals with magic to fuse to the rune so that it is as good as new. Such a strong willed dragon it is, it even seems to be becoming quite accustomed to it's new gears and bladed tail. I do however have to keep it's wings and gears in check so the owner who bonds with this rune will need to visit me regularly so that I can give the rune weekly maintenance. This rune is certainly a fighter and never gives up, hopefully we can take after it's example and try to stand up to the government that threatens our runes...I will try to keep the happenings of this updated in my journals and let us pray that no war ensues from their folly. A world without runes is simply unthinkable and all runes carry a piece of magic within them, to destroy that would be to destroy ourselves and that must never happen."
Ok I was going to place this little fellow up for adoption but as soon as my sister saw him she immediately laid claim upon this rune. I don't think you guys know how hard it is to impress Jendalie with a design so the fact that she liked something her little sister drew made me feel very proud indeed. She also does not have a rune dragon yet so I think she certainly deserve this little fellow as I'm sure you all agree as well. I will try to come up with another steampunk-like design rune but for now this one goes to Jendalie and I'm very happy that I was able to find my own sister her first rune dragon!
