{{ name }}
As you can tell, this beautiful guy's name is Lemon-Lime! But you'll always be Limey to me <3
{{ gender }}
Male - obviously xD
{{ size }}
As Sprite has said, he's a little smaller than the regular size of an adult JBD.
{{ why i want him }}
Well, I've been stalking the JBD threads for a long time now. I think the first time I really noticed JBDs was when Boots ordered art of JBD #136. I've done exactly 23 pieces of JBD art (and counting!), including the one up there of Lime ^.^; and I really love drawing them. But after a while, I thought, I draw JBDs so much, and yet I don't actually own one... and I wondered if I should change that. Now I've decided that I'm going to change that, and hopefully it will work out well.
For about three weeks I've been looking at all the guest artist's JBDs, trying to find one that really captured my heart. I considered trying for a few different JBDs, including a few from this batch of guest artist's designs, but this one was the only one that I really like a lot. I have so many different ideas for Lime, and I can't wait to get them all out of my head and onto this form. I love his design so much; the greens are beautiful and the bandana just ties it all together <3 If you do decide to choose me as this JBD's owner, I will love him to death B|
I will definitely make him his own character page, along with using him in the various JBD roleplays there are out there. I can't wait to roleplay with him, he's such a loveable character <3 Raimundo's new thing, the The False Target game show, looks really awesome, and I want to see who Lime would end up choosing xD

Although he says his favorite thing to do is be outside, Lime also loves eating - He'd never admit it though, would you, Limey?
Haha, you're right. But he also is very fond of his friends, and likes to hang out with them. But I'm your favorite, aren't I?
You can't see silence! Teehee, I got you there!
You're quite right. Let's move on, shall we? Lime is much too talkative for his own good!
Lemon-Lime's favorite drink is - yes, it is - Sprite. But he also likes Mountain Dew, 7 UP, and any other lemon-lime flavored drink. His favorite food is Honey Bunches of Oats cereal-
Gee, thanks for interrupting me, Lime. As I was saying, his favorite food is Honey Bunches of Oats, and his favorite movie is pretty much any superhero movie. He loves The Avengers particularly. Lime's favorite books are a series called H.I.V.E., a teen supervillain series much like Harry Potter, but in a very different point of view.
Come on Limey, I'm supposed to be giving away all your life's secrets ;D Keep quiet while I finish.
Some of the things that he likes to do in his free time is, like we've already mentioned, is just sit in the silent forest. However, contradicting this statement, he also loves to talk. And interrupt people... '-.- He loves talking with friends, and he also loves to laugh! He enjoys just going on a picnic and playing around with some other Jellybean Dragons, having a good time.
{{ dislikes }}
Well, yes, Lime is terrified of surprises. Even though he likes to scare other people, which can sometimes have bad endings-
...Sorry, Limey, I know I shouldn't have started on that story, I apologize.
Surprisingly, Lime also has a special fear of being alone - yet he loves being alone. The only way that I could explain this, is that he's scared that everyone on Earth will die or something, and leave him as the only person alive. This is a major fear of his, although it wouldn't happen, and he knows it.
He's a bit of a grammar nazi it bugs him to no end when people don't use correct grammar.
Yes, that's what I mean... -sigh-
Lime also hates it when people around him are sad, angry, lonely, or any other "bad" feeling. He usually tries to cheer them up in various ways.
{{ story }}
Unlike some of the other parts of this form, the story will be told by me, and only by me, but in Lime's point of view. I find that if Lime interrupts, I loose my train of thought, and he'll probably tell his story in a different way, anyways. But I'll just give you a quick introduction to the setting before I start. This story takes place in one of his favorite places, a large forest in the middle of nowhere with a few small clearings that are perfect for a picnic. It's a short hike, but easy for a JBD to get to. Also, the event that happens in the end is very, very tragic, and it did have a huge affect on Lime afterwards... Read at your own risk.
Lemon-Lime headed down the familiar, worn-out trail that led to one of his favorite places. This place was a little clearing, down in the middle of a prodigious forest; it was the perfect place for any friendly get-together. Today, he had invited his three best friends, Ananiem, Whistle, and Brea to hang out with him. As he skipped down the beaten path, he thought happily to himself, it can’t get much better than this, now, can it? The birds were chirping, and some frogs were croaking, creating the wonderful atmosphere that he was so used to. It confused him slightly that he could be so loud and rambunctious sometimes, yet the serene forest was his favorite place to be. The contradictions were, frankly, ridiculous. The Jellybean Dragon paused and re-adjusted his bandana, tightening it to make sure that it didn’t fall off as he walked.
In his belly-pouch, he held a small bag of various meals and snacks, including some of his favorites – Sprite, of course, but also some chocolate-chip cookies, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and other tasty little morsels. These food items were in preparation for the picnic that he was going to have today, in the clearing in the middle of the woods.
Once he’d reached the perfect spot, he stopped, untied his bandana and hung it on a nearby branch, and started setting up lunch. He spread out a light blue picnic blanket, and put some rocks on the corners to make sure it didn’t blow away. Lime straightened up after he’d finished, and looked down the path again. None of his friends seemed to be anywhere nearby yet, so he sighed, lay down on the soft grass, and fell asleep.
-------
Although it had been almost fifteen minutes, Lemon-Lime woke up a while later feeling like he’d been asleep for less than one. Again, he glanced down the path, but no one seemed to be coming. The male dragon heaved another sigh, slightly disappointed in his friends. He was always prompt, yet they always seemed to think the point was to arrive a half hour after the appointed time. Lime sat down on the baby-blue blanket, flicking his tail every once in a while. Suddenly, a sharp crack sounded behind him. He whirled around; his chocolate brown eyes open wide with terror. “Who’s there?” he demanded, his hackles rising in alarm. When nothing responded to his words, he crept a little closer, his heart still pounding. He had a special fear of things jumping out at him, and he was not about to let one of his friends scare him. Lime poked his nose into the bushes, sniffing around. Finally, he decided that it had just been a rabbit or a bird; something smaller than a JBD. He turned back to the picnic blanket, his eyes staring down at the ground in boredom. When will they get here? he thought, just a little angry at them for taking so long. He sat again, back to the bushes where he’d heard the crack, and continued watching the path.
Not five seconds later, he heard another noise – then shrieked in terror when a lavender shape burst out of the bushes and nearly ran into him. He scrambled backwards in a rushed panic; ears flat against his head, eyes wide, heart thumping. It took a few seconds for him to recognize the purple monster… But then he saw who it was. “Ananiem!” he cried, unsteadily rising to his paws. “What in the world was that for? You could’ve scared me to death, jumping out at me like that…!”
The other Jellybean Dragon, meanwhile, was laughing hysterically, pounding the grass with her paw and flailing about on the ground. “L-Lime! You totally fell for that, didn’t you?! Ahahaha, I can’t believe you fell for that!”
“Oh, be quiet,” he shushed her, beginning to grin a little, too. “I knew you were there the whole time.” He puffed out his chest a little and glared down at her. “I was just playing along,” he continued, still a little shaky.
Ananiem rolled her eyes. “Sure, sure, just playing along. Whatever, Limey…,” she grinned mischievously at him. “I’ll be sure and tell everyone else how to scare you to death.”
Now it was Sprite’s turn to roll his eyes – and he did so overenthusiastically, snorting a little. Humph. "Don't call me that, Ananiem... Do you know if Whistle and Brea are on their way?” he asked, changing the subject. “They should be here by now.”
As if on cue, the deep sound of Whistle’s voice came into range, heading slowly but surely towards them. Much quieter, and barely able to discern from the other natural sounds, was Brea’s high voice. It seemed that the two had decided to come together – Which wasn’t unusual, considering they’d known each other pretty much from the day they’d hatched.
Lemon-Lime looked at Ananiem excitedly, a sudden idea bursting across his face. “Ananiem, Ananiem! I’ve just had an idea – We should jump out and scare Brea and Whistle, just like you did to me! It’ll be so much fun!” He shook out his fur, and then started looking around for a suitable hiding place.
“Oh, so you hate being scared yourself, but you don’t mind scaring others half to death?”
“Nope! It’s quite fun, actually!”
Ananiem sighed with pretend disappointment, but shrugged and disappeared into her previous hiding spot. Whistle’s voice was getting louder; Lime didn’t have much time to find a good hiding place, but he quickly jumped up into the branches of a sturdy maple tree. It was in full bloom, as most trees were in the middle of summer, and provided a great veil.
As Whistle’s voice grew even clearer, it became obvious that the two Jellybean Dragons were having an argument. Since he was only able to discern Whistle’s voice, he assumed that they were arguing over something that Brea did to embarrass Whistle. Whistle was saying, “And in front of my parents, too! My parents! Do you know what my father’s like, Brea? He doesn’t forgive anyone for stuff like that, and especially not his youngest, most hated son! Why couldn’t you have just stayed quiet, like you usually are?” Brea replied, in a soft, tear-laced voice that made Sprite want to go and comfort her, but he couldn’t really hear what she was saying – and he didn’t want to give up his presence. Lime glanced down at Ananiem, trying to meet her gaze; he wondered if they shouldn’t do this after all.
But then it was too late. Whistle and Brea came into view, Brea walking a little bit behind Whistle with her head hung and her tail dragging. Whistle’s eyes were defiant, but they looked dull and unfeeling. His ears were flat. As Lime watched them come to a stop in front of the blanket, he decided to go ahead with his little trick. Perhaps it would be funny enough to make this picnic… Cheerier.
He finally got Ananeim’s attention, nodding and smiling encouragingly at her. Her countenance showed her reluctance to do this, but Lime’s expression left her with no doubt – Maybe it could make things less awkward, if they were all laughing.
Lemon-Lime readied himself, bundling his muscles and focusing all his attention on Whistle. With a final nod to Ananiem, he jumped out of the tree with an ecstatic shout. “Look out beloooowwww!” he cried, almost landing on top of Whistle. Meanwhile, Brea had rushed backwards into a tree, with Ananiem laughing beside her. Lime started cracking up, too: his bandana had fallen off and landed on Whistle’s face, blinding the poor guy. Brea, still pushed up against the tree with her eyes wide, slowly smiled and began giggling. They all sat like that for a moment, their eyes filled with laughter, and, in two cases, fading shock.
It took a few minutes, but eventually Whistle stood up. He had not said a single word since he arrived at the little picnicking area, nor had he laughed along with them or even screamed in fright when Lime had dropped down on him. His condescending air thickened as he stared at Lime, a glare spreading across his face. “Seriously. You would seriously do this to me while I am in this sort of mood? You couldn’t have missed me and Brea talking as we came down the path. Yet you still decided to scare us out of our wits?” He snorted; if looks could kill, Lime would be half-dead already. “I thought better of you two, or at least of Ananiem.”
It was true that Whistle had always thought of Lemon-Lime as “second-best” under all the others, but he had never said anything to confirm this thought out loud – and especially directly in Lime's face. Lime stared in shock at the Jellybean Dragon, guilt and sorrow wiping away his grin. “Whistle… I- I just wanted to cheer you up… You know I hate it when you argue with other people…,” he whispered softly, slowly getting to his paws.
Whistle huffed in disbelief, his eyes widening with anger. “I should have never agreed to come to this stupid little picnic,” he spat, whipping his tail to either side, not unlike a cat about to pounce on its unsuspecting prey. He shot one more murderous look at Lime and Ananiem, his gaze drifting over Brea as if she wasn’t there, then he turned and stalked away down the path, opposite the way he’d come, deeper into the woods.
Brea, the first of them to recover from Whistle’s unexpected outburst, rushed to her paws and called to Whistle pleadingly. “Stop, Whistle, stop! I- I didn’t mean to upset you earlier, you know I didn’t; please come back…!”
Ananiem padded over to Brea and nudged her. “C’mon… We have to go find him before he gets lost.” She turned to Lemon-Lime with a look of concern. “Lime. D-don’t listen to him, Lime; he’s just in a bad mood. I- we know that you were just trying to help out.” She glanced at Brea, who nodded silently. Then they were gone, off into the shadowy woods, following Whistle’s trail.
Sprite sat, unmoving, his heart contracted with feelings that he had no words for. He was wretched with guilt; he should’ve known better than to do such a dumb thing to Whistle. He should’ve known better…
With a quick movement, Lime got to his paws and shook out his ruffled fur. His eyes hardened with determination. I’ll just go and apologize, he thought, brightening at the idea. What else can I possibly do?
Lemon-Lime’s paws pounded on the ground as he raced after Brea, Ananiem, and Whistle; his tongue was lolling and he was panting heavily: he wasn’t the most fit Jellybean Dragon, although he was a good short-distance sprinter. He had no idea how far away the other three had gotten, so he tried to pace himself, but he was much too eager to apologize to Whistle.
In the back of his mind, a little reminder popped up – nearby was the Drop, a steep cliff that couldn’t have been less than a thousand feet tall; in Lime’s reckoning, anyways. This little reminder told him to stay well away from the Drop – But did his friends know it was there? He was pretty sure that he was the only one who’d been to this part of the forest before…. He gasped suddenly, increasing his speed. They can’t have fallen over, they can’t have… Whistle’s much too smart to run straight over the Drop….
Lemon-Lime screeched to a halt at the end of the path – This was as close as he wanted to be to the Drop; several yards. He looked around fretfully, lashing his tail. “Whistle? Ananiem? Brea?” he called out, raising his voice as much as he could. His heart pounded with fear; he did not want to look over the Drop to find three bro- No. Even if one of them did fall, the others would’ve seen and stopped.
“Lime!”
With blinding gratitude, turned around. Ananiem and Brea were sitting a little ways away; Whistle wasn’t in sight. “Ananiem! Brea!” he cried out with happiness, bounding towards them. But before he got there, he could tell something was dreadfully wrong. Brea was leaning heavily against Ananiem, her front paw twisted at an unnatural angle that must’ve hurt something terrible. Both dragons had teary expressions, their countenance giving away what had happened. “Whi-“ Lime broke off. “Whistle… He…” he left the words hanging in the air, the tense silence answering his question.
Brea looked down; a single tear dripped down her face. “Yes.”
“I…”
“We started chasing after him… So, naturally, he ran faster. He was just going over the edge when we caught up to him. I tripped and almost fell too, but Ananiem was quick enough to pull me back.” Her voice was dull, unemotional, yet he could tell they were laced with grief. Whistle and Brea had known each other since their earliest years; loosing friends after that long, even if they had been a little annoying, was heartbreaking. Even Ananiem, who’d only known Whistle and Brea for a month or so, was sobbing softly.
So why didn’t he cry? He certainly felt like crying. Yet no tears came; his eyes remained dry.
Why didn’t he cry? He felt like crying uncontrollably, he felt like burying his face into his mother’s fur and just sobbing, sobbing until the pain went away.
Why didn’t he cry? It was all his fault. It was his idea to scare Whistle. His fault.
Why didn’t he cry? He had no right not to. Brea and Ananiem would think that he wasn’t sorry at all, perhaps even glad to see Whistle go. But he wasn’t glad, not in the least.
Why didn’t he cry?
Finally, the pain of not being able to cry, yet not being able to hold in his grief overtook him, and he ran off into the forest, leaving Brea and Ananiem together. He ran and ran, forgetting his earlier exhaustion; forgetting that he was even real.
He would not be coming back here. Not for a long, long time.
{{ personality }}
I'm not going to do a personality, because I feel that his overall demeanor is covered in both the story and in his quotes. If I have time, then I will do a short personality.

The only JBD in the story that is actually a real JBD is Ivara's Ananiem, and yes, I did get permission to use her in my story and as Limey's friend ^.^; Brea and Whistle are "imaginary" friends, if you must call them something.
The reason I decided to have Lime speaking throughout this form is in hopes of portraying his personality without actually describing it c: I know that you want me to focus on the story, but I'm trying to make it obvious what Lemon-Lime is like, so that you kinda get to know him before you actually read the story part of the form.
EDIT; Finally finished the story, and I hope that it isn't too... Gruesome. It seems to happen very fast as of right now, but I'm planning on going through and editing it a ton.
EDIT2; I've completely erased the story, and started over, because I think that I didn't portray the feelings as well as it should've. Hopefull this one will make more sense... Also, I've added his dislikes and decided that I'm not going to do his personality unless I have enough time, since I think that I've shown his personality fairly well in his story and quotes.
EDIT3; Since someone got all mad at me for naming him Sprite, I've gone through and changed his name to Lemon-Lime, aka Lime, Limey. If anyone find a mistake in there where I've accidentally called him Sprite, please let me know via PM and I'll take care of it <3
EDIT4; Finished the new story ^.^; I think I'm pretty much finished... 8'D
EDIT5; Thank you ;-; Thank you so much <3

To tell the truth, I don't have very many things that could make it onto this list.
I... I wish that the story you just read did not need to be told. But, it is by far the most important thing that has happened - at least so far - in my life, and it needed to be told - needed to be read. And... I'm not happy about what happened to Whistle. He did die - No doubt about it. I... I did not see his body, but I took Brea and Ananiem's word for it. There is no way that he could've survived that fall. My inaction still haunts me. I keep going over it, again and again, in my head... Trying to figure out what I could've done to prevent this... And I know that I could've stopped him before he got anywhere near the cliff, and yet I didn't. I didn't. But, I try as hard as I can not to let his death effect me too much. My motto is, "Don't dwell on the past, focus on the future". I like having fun, I like laughing, and if I let this event take me over, I wouldn't be able to do either of those things. So I try to push it to the back of my mind; I try to forget about it, as hard as it is. But I will never forget about it. I can just try my best to ignore my feelings of sadness whenever I do remember.
{{ personality }}
I'm not going to do a personality, because I feel that his overall demeanor is covered in both the story and in his quotes. If I have time, then I will do a short personality.

{{ notes / other }}
The only JBD in the story that is actually a real JBD is Ivara's Ananiem, and yes, I did get permission to use her in my story and as Limey's friend ^.^; Brea and Whistle are "imaginary" friends, if you must call them something.
