first impressions: the handsome plumerian does a hairflip, before
flashing a charming grin at you. he makes his way across the sand,
occasionally kicking up a large plume of the grainy particles before

his words, but he's still understandable. you wonder how much of his
demeanor is simply because he's being paid to take you scuba diving.
his humor seems friendly enough, and he's bursting with facts, making
intelligent comments. he seems to commonly forget words though, and
his blank stare as he searches for the right word get a little tiresome.
he seems genuinely apologetic and even ashamed after forgetting words.

- adaptable: nikita's that dude who always has these crazy weird ways of getting by on little to nothing, or low quality stuff. he's often working on problems in his head, and will blurt out solutions to whatever was plaguing him-- no matter his current situation or surroundings. stuff like "i can use duct tape on it!" being blurted out in the middle of a serious conversation often earns him odd stares, especially since he often looks blank for a few minutes up to the conclusion. he enjoys the challenge of a problem and sharing his findings and solutions, even if nobody else knows what the problem was. occasionally, he'll be found fixing problems that he noticed but wasn't invited to fix. this leads to... odd solutions that make people stare until they realize that it works quite well.
playful: nikita has been enjoying life recently after having moved to San Diego. after having a rough time in Russia where he originated, he's been reveling in the freedom and the fun of Southern California. he often crashes beach parties [which the ladies don't mind at all... until they realize he's flirting with the guys only] just for kicks, since he doesn't quite have any friends yet. those who do consider him a friend think of him as a rather easy-going fellow who loves friendly competition and trying new things. he's usually the one the group looks to for ideas when nobody knows what they should do today.
ambitious: nikita has a sort of friendly ambition-- he won't trample over other's dreams to achieve his own dreams, but he has put substantial thought towards his goals that build up to his ultimate vision. he plans to eventually make a name for himself in his current occupation
efficient: nikita works very efficiently, but this is countered by his bad sense of time and periods of unfocused floating about. the unfocused periods seem completely unrelated to when he forgets words. when he does manage to get in focus, he's very single-minded and intent on his work until the next time his attention is stolen.
childish: nikita has many child-like traits including not taking blame, lack of organization, no clue as to stranger danger, and odd comments. overall, he almost seems like an overly friendly puppy that's been found roaming about on the beach.
- description: nikita works as a scuba guide in Southern California. he takes people out on tours in the deep ocean, and/or just in little coves on the coast. he's often pretty flexible, offering to show them around to other places with a childlike joy stretching across his face as he marvels over the scenery with those he's guiding. seeing as he lives in a tourist destination, his prices are able to fluctuate on how much money he needs at the time. when times are truly desperate, he'll offer private boating tours as well, or surfing lessons-- whatever he can find to get the bills paid.
working hours: seeing as he's often dealing with jetlagged tourists, nikita has varied working hours that depend on the tourists. he's pulled all-nighters before, taking people scuba diving at 2 in the morning and other ridiculous hours that nobody else normal would think people would go scuba-diving at. however, he likes the odd hours. they fit in with his erratic and shifting personality. the fluctuating hours keep everything new and interesting for him, but it makes it hard for other people to pin him down into a schedule [which makes it hard for him to make and keep friends].

pet peeves: the number one way to piss nikita off when he's working is to flirt with him. when he's working, he's working and he doesn't want anything to interrupt his concentration. other pet peeves include people who change their minds at the last second, treat him like a machine, and sand getting in his wetsuit.
downsides: nikita doesn't really get many 'frequent customers' seeing as his target audience is mainly tourists who are willing or even eager to pay the sometimes exorbitant prices. since he works so many odd hours, he doesn't get as much socialization as he'd like, so he'll sometimes be found crashing beach parties in order to try and make friends.

hair ties: nikita is a magical person who somehow manages to keep track of his hair ties/pony tails/scrunchies (whatever you want to call them). he sometimes looks odd because he'll tie up his bangs and look somewhat like a blond unicorn beaming at his clients.
pens: nikita has multiple waterproof pens for writing with (of course). sometimes his friend misha will steal a pen and draw henna/other designs all over nikita (without asking permission). for the most part, nikita keeps them tucked in his hair and behind his ear for convenience.
a knife: nikita carries some form of knife on him at all times, having been in situations before where a simple knife would have solved all or most of his frustrations at the time. he's been prepared ever since those times though, and has grown skilled at both wielding and concealing knives of varying types and lengths.
sometimes
drysuit/wetsuit: both keep him warm in the cold ocean, and he chooses which he wears depending on the day that he's touring.
duct tape: if in the midst of working on something, nikita will be found with a roll of duct tape on his arm as far up as it can go before it's impeded by his muscles.
