Eilinora - Irish for "light"



Female

A young woman stood by a lonely lamp post one dark night. She sighed softly as she listened to the train fade away into soon nothingness. There in that train went the woman's 3rd ex husband and, along with him, all her money and children.

The woman was known as Eilinora. She was just like any other ordinary girl; Eili grew up in a happy childhood and had lived an interesting life to say the least, but every person makes bad and regretful decisions at least once in their life.

For Eili, though, she made a lot of them. She went to college and instead of getting a good job and being able to support herself, she went to go be a hair stylist. Eili at the time had been seeing what was soon to be her 1st ex-husband. She had expected him to support her and him but when she told him that after they got married, he filed a divorce.

Not only was Eili a mom who had everything taken away from her, no. She had debts stacked up everywhere. Eili was really struggling with her life and soon didn't find it quite as fun or nice as what her parents had told her.

But that soon changed.

After the train had sped off, Eilinora leaned against the post and looked up into the starry sky. Suddenly a shooting star seemed to be coming straight at her face. Eili panicked and braced herself for impact but it never came. She opened her eyes up and saw a small, blue fairy that was hovering in front of her face. Confused, Eili looked at it closely. It was a beautiful fairy that had crystal-like wings and a small disc-like halo over its head.


“I’ve returned!” It exclaimed before it gasped in horror at Eili. “What happened to you, Eili! Oh precious and wild child who ran our fairy kingdom!? You’re all grown up and you look miserable!” It cried out. Eili had almost forgotten that as a kid she pretended to have her own fairy kingdom. Apparently her imagination became true, though, because now one of her friends was standing on her nose.

“I grew up.” Eilinora said simply. “It’s called life and it stinks!” She stomped her foot as she sighed softly and looked at the fairy in dismay. “I have taxes overdue, debts that are drowning me, I’m practically broke now and being an adult is so boring!” She exclaimed before picking up the fairy and holding her in her hand.

“What if I said that I came from Neverland?” It whispered excitedly. “And we can turn adults into children and you can be free from your burdens forever? You could do whatever you want!” It whispered excitedly.

Eilinora raised her eyebrows and looked at the fairy dumbstruck. “That place is real?” She whispered. The fairy nodded. “Oh yes! Where do you think I came from? We’ve missed you so much! Please come back!” It pleaded her.

Eili looked at the fairy and didn’t even blink an eye when she said almost immediately, “Alright. I’m in.” The woman grinned down at the fairy.

Suddenly the fairy squealed and whistled. When she did, it was like the stars were falling out of the sky. All of the blue fairies overwhelmed the woman and slowly they spun around her like a tornado. It got faster and faster and then all of a sudden Eilinora shrunk.

The fairy squealed as they covered her in fairy dust. “Come on Eili!” They cheered as they flew off, guiding her to Neverland. Eili grinned as she looked up excitedly and fly into Neverland.

All of a sudden the girl woke up, though, confused on a bench. “This isn’t Neverland.” She mumbled to herself before looking at her hands. “But I’m a kid?” She whispered to herself as her eyes widened. “How?” Eili didn’t question it any further though and as a bus stopped in front of her and offered her a ride, Eili grinned and hopped onto the bus.

“Where to, kid?” The bus driver asked.

“Far, far away.” The little girl said as she sat by a window daydreaming.

Eilinora doesn't mind it one bit! In fact, she actually is thankful that she got YFS-C because now she is free to do whatever she wants, when she wants. This includes her sneaking out with her friends into amusement parks/fairs, eating a ton of candy, wearing really cute dresses and skirts, playing, and looking as if she is really smart to her friends because of her knowledge of everything she has learned in school and college (this is her favorite part of being a kid, for she gets to impress kids and adults), getting out of having to do adult-like things such as doing taxes, getting a job, getting married, and plenty of other things.

This doesn't mean that she is 100% free, though. While Eilinora considers this her literally turning over a new leaf and starting things out fresh, there's downsides to being a kid as well. She has to often hide with some teen rebels she has met to keep the cops from discovering that a child isn't in school, steal money (mostly from water fountains though and doing lemonade stand sales and baking sales), and always have to be on the run if anyone does discover her to prevent her from going into an orphanage. She's also frowned upon a lot and is talked condescendingly to and Eili hates it. She has learned though that if she carries a pan with her and hits people and runs off quickly enough, she can get away with it. Or she can just smile sweetly at someone and be as nice as she can just to make that person more mad. It just depends on the kind of day Eili is having.

Eilinora hopes to one day stumble upon a loving family though and be adopted/accepted into their loving arms. Until then, though, Eili is going to live on the wild side of life and constantly travel around the world while meeting new people.

Bastille- The awesome mom-like figure

When Eilinora first met Bastille, she was surprised at how carefree and cool she seemed to be for somebody her own age. Eili considered her to be almost like a rebellious teen who never grew out of that stage. Eili loves her to death and is always running to her to "go incognito" as Eilinora puts it, and spends time with the family. She certainly likes Bastille the best and is found hanging around her quite often. When Bastille does act like a mom, though, Eilinora can't help but respect her and be a bit annoyed at the same time. Eilinora and Bastille have a really good relationship together as friends, though Eilinora secretly hopes that one day she may be adopted into the family.

Calixte- Idol

Eilinora looks up to Calixte like how a younger sister would look up to their older sister. She admires her beauty and understands her somewhat on a deeper level, though Eilinora isn't adopted quite yet, she pities Calixte a bit but makes her wonder what her life would have been if her birth parents hadn't died. Cal is probably the only JBD that Eilinora is actually really self-conscious to be around, actually, for she feels like she could appear to be an annoying child following a cool teenager around all the time. She often picks flowers for Cal though and likes to put them on her head or just give them to her. She also loves dressing up a lot and tries to get Cal to help her with makeup since she appears to be a professional at it through Eilinora's perspective of things. She also loves talking to Cal and asking her what's been going on since she talks so much and knows more about the people in the world than Eilinora does. Sometimes, she even asks Cal to "spy" on her a bit so she can know when she can go out freely and hang out with other kids and whatnot.

It's pretty safe to say that these 2 get along wonderfully and Eilinora loves her to death.

Dekoda- The cool adult friend

Dekoda is like Eilinora's buddy that she always goes to when she wants to hear a cool adventuring story or to even go out and go on an adventure herself whenever she's feeling like doing something fun. The 2 get along really well, for Dekoda and Eilinora watch Gravity Falls together all the time and talk about the show. Eilinora loves how Dekoda is always himself despite some adults maybe disapproving of him and thinks of him as her really close friend who she can open up to about anything and everything to and he'd keep it safe. Him and Eilinora don't hang out all the time, but when they do, Eilinora is usually "under the radar" for a few days at a time, usually just chilling with Dekoda.

Fenris- "Annoying Growling Fella"

Eilinora really doesn't like Fenris. At first she thought he was trying to be the "bad boy" by being a lone wolf, but she soon realized that he's like an emo kid at school, except he literally growls. Eilinora has tried to talk to him several times, trying to get him to open up a bit but he never does. In fact, he only ends up hurting Eili's feelings a bit when he ignores or even worse, growls at him angrily. Eili will never understand Fenris but she always tries to bring him a flower that he would like and usually leaves it there without a word for him. She just hopes that one day he is happy in life and gets quite upset and emotional when he is brought up, for she pities him and wants everyone to live a good life rather than a miserable one like she had once lived.

How she copes with YFS-C:

Yvienne copes extremely well with her YFS-C and actually really enjoys having it. To those who don't know her, she would appear as a small child, and she can sometimes take advantage of that fact and pretend she is younger than she really is, which she finds very enjoyable. Bigger beans also feel inclined to help her do things which she would say she is 'too small' to be doing, being her lazy self of course. There is a lot of repeating herself to others which she has to do since many presume she is so young, and she has to tell them about her YFS and explain how old she really is, and of course has to bring ID everywhere. And she really can't be bothered with that.
Of course there is a downside to her condition. As she has grown older she has watched many of her other friends grow older, and actually grow bigger. Many of them have went on to start a family and have little beans of their own, which is something she can never do and this is something that troubles her a lot. She worries a lot about whether she will find anybody to settle down with and possibly adopt beans, but she worries her future partner, if she manages to find one, would want that.
But its not something that Yvienne likes to dwell on and mainly looks at her YFS as a gift for her to use. She enjoys staying small and cute as some of her friends have complained about growing too tall for some things, and Vee is happy that that won't be a problem for her.

Relationships:

Zach //
Zach is a bean that Yvienne has known for a while now. They met through some work as they both would do babysitting and a few part time jobs here and there so they would work together often. Zach would look much older than Vee when they are together, obviously, but he's actually 5 years younger. The pair get on brilliantly and would do a lot together. Vee being the trickster that she is would try to frighten him every now and then, but he still loves his little right hand woman.

Missy //
Yvienne also met Missy throughout her work as she use to baby sit her a lot for her parents. Yvienne loves children and she absolutely adored talented little Missy just as much as Missy did her. When she would look after her she would of taken he out to the park and to the cinema and anywhere she wanted to go. Vee would be close with Missy's family and has watched her grown from a small little girl into a smart young teen, and they still get on very well.

Yvienne's most notable trait would be her humour. She can make anything funny and is a right little comedian. Her friends love her humour and she is such a fun and happy bean to be around. Her sweet and delicate nature makes her a brilliant babysitter and she would love to open her own daycare in the future. Vee is a smart and hardy girl and she doesn't take anything to heart, although most people are usually very respectable about her condition, there are those who are not, and would occasionally make fun of her, but she laughs it off, usually with a smart and sassy response that blows the other person away, she has that easy-going aura around her and doesn't really like to make a fuss about anything, and she can move on from things quickly. Sometimes, Vee would think that she has to make up for what she lacks, and she can push herself to the limit in certain things which has made her a truly hardy and motivated bean. Yvienne is super laid back, and really doesn't take a lot of things serious, except a few work commitments, but other than that, she doesn't overly bother herself about doing anything that she would find too strenuous. She's very adaptable and can adapt to a new situation very fast and enjoys a change every now and then. Her friends would definitely describe her as lazy, its always 'Will you get this for me?', 'Could you pass that too me please?' along with a little bat of her eyelids as well. Of course most of them give into her and she usually does have people running after her here and there.
Vee is definitely an outgoing bean and has so many crazy ideas that she thinks she would love to do! But her being her, is usually too las to actually put them in motion. She is a very, very loving bean though, and has so much love in her for everyone and is hardly ever down. Many would describe her as quite the optimist, as you can hardly ever find her without a smile across her faces. She finds the good and the great in everyone and everything and is definitely a positive influence to have and to be around.

Amaryllis 'Amary' Himura

Coping with YFS-C:

Even though Amaryllis is still mentally young (around 7 years old), she very much knows about the condition she has. She sort of had to know when she was put into the foster program and noticed that the possible adopters would not look at her as closely as the other children. Her actual parents had not told her, and she had been a little confused when she had physically stopped growing after a certain period of time. She had directly asked one of the foster program staff members and, she guesses because she might seem pretty mature, they told her. She doesn't know how to describe how she felt when she finally learned, but it wasn't necessarily a bad emotion. It was more of just a "oh."

Amaryllis has never thought bad about herself for having YFS-C, it was more that she just felt alone most of the time. She has never really thought that there was anything wrong with her, even when the possibly adopters skipped over her. She knew there was a family out there for her, and she was right. The Himura family has been just as helpful in making her cope with YFS-C; making her feel welcome and not alone anymore. The friendships she has made with Marvel and Cariña have helped her realize that she would always have somebody on her side no matter if she doesn't grow physically anymore. Marvel has even made jokes about how one day she is going to be way taller that Amaryllis.

So at the end of the day, Amaryllis uses her new family to cope with her YFS-C. She knows that the older she gets in life the more difficult it will become, she also knows that her fathers would never look at her with disgust and that her little sister and best friend Marvel would always have her back no matter the situation.

Family & Relationships:

Takeshi Himura & Pann HImura :
Takeshi and Pann are the typical loving fathers and Amaryllis is so thankful to them and loves them right back. Sometimes she gives Takeshi mini heart-attacks when she tracks mud into the house after a day of searching for rocks for her rock collection. He's worried a lot of the time, especially when Cariña wasn't getting along with Amaryllis well. He's absolutely horrible at saying no to Amaryllis regarding anything but she knows not to exploit that (ok maybe a little bit when they want to have sleepovers on a school night).
Pann is a painter and Amaryllis loves to sit around and watch him paint. She even sometimes joins in if he has an extra canvas. Amaryllis loves to sit around with Cariña in his studio and paint with her/help her mix colors. Though, the studio stays locked and Amaryllis knows it's because of the stories she's heard of Cariña getting into the paint.

Cariña Himura:
Her relationship with Cariña started off very differently than her relationship with Marvel. Even though Amaryllis is still (mentally) young, she believes that she is pretty good at reading people, considering all of the practice she has had. She knew right when she was brought home by her fathers that Cariña was not too fond of her and was as mad as a little girl could possibly be. Cariña didn't really like the fact that attention was taken away from her by a new member of the family, causing her to be a little colder towards Amaryllis. There was also the fact that Cariña and Marvel were already best friends, and she probably felt threatened by a new person being added to the group. Amaryllis was dismayed at first, but then she figured that this person was going to be her younger sister basically and that she should try as hard as possible to become friends.
It happens gradually, but soon Cariña does warm up to Amaryllis. It all came to a head when one day Amaryllis noticed that Cariña had drawn her in a family portrait. Amaryllis had basically cried from happiness, and had scared Cariña into making her think she had done something wrong. After reassurances and hugs and more tears, Marvel took a picture of the moment which now hangs on the fridge. The three of them have a lot of sleepovers after that.

Marvel Sequin:
Marvel might as well be considered family if you ask Amaryllis. They met when the Himura family brought her home and Amaryllis discovered that Marvel was at their house probably more than her own house. They got along very well from the start; mostly starting from when Amaryllis became fascinated with Marvel's Polaroid camera, having never seen one before. They also found out that they both have a strong love of the outdoors and getting dirty, much to the dismay of Takeshi and Pann.
Since Amaryllis didn't have many material possessions, Marvel helped fill up the walls of her room with pictures taken with the Polaroid. It helps Amaryllis feel a little more permanent in her new life.

Writing extra:

Amaryllis, Cariña, and Marvel are having one of their weekly sleepovers when Amaryllis thinks about finally asking them. It has almost been a year since the Himura family took her in, and she still hasn’t brought herself to ask if either of them know about her condition. Marvel is about the same age as her and Cariña is a sharp cookie, so she thinks they would understand. It’s either they don’t know or they just don’t care. Amaryllis hopes that it’s the latter.

“Hey guys,” she starts off, her voice quiet to not wake up her fathers, “do you guys, like,” she pauses. “Know about me?”

Marvel looks up from her Polaroid camera with a confused expression and Cariña does the same from her current piece of art she’s making. “What do you mean Amary?” Marvel asks.

“My, uh, condition?” Amaryllis doesn’t really know what to call it without saying its name which they probably wouldn’t know anyway.

Amaryllis almost laughs when both Marvel and Cariña suddenly open their mouths in a ‘O’ shape like they finally get what she’s talking about.

“Yeah,” Cariña anwers, going back to her drawing. “Takeshi told me before you were brought home, and then I told Marvel myself.”
Amaryllis warms at Cariña saying “home,” but then she’s a little confused. “So, wait. You guys just don’t care?”

Cariña and Marvel look at each other again and shrug. “No,” Marvel answers, “why would we?”

“Uhhh, I don’t know. Maybe the fact that I won’t be able to keep up with you guys when y’all get older?”

Marvel snorts and fiddles with her camera again before taking a picture of the lamp that’s illuminating their spot on the floor. Probably testing how it does in the dark, knowing her.

“Me and Cariña have never thought about that. So what if you don’t grow? You’re still our best friend. It just means we have to make changes so you can keep up.” Marvel shrugs again like it’s no big deal.

Cariña nods along, agreeing, still focused on her drawing.

“Besides,” Marvel says, “It just means we will both be soo much taller than you!”

Cariña huffs out a laugh at that.

Amaryllis laughs too, so happy that she knows she will always get to keep her friends. Then she tackles Marvel to the ground, hopefully proving that she can take her down no matter how tall she gets.
