Day [6] Astronomy 101: Community Results

Lab is subdued today, and you notice every so often out of the corner of your eye the flash of light. If you look directly where you think it's coming from, it is gone. Uneasily you continue class, and offer to help Meteion pack up. Star waves off any help, stating star would be going straight home and drinking some tea to try and kick this cold!

When you arrive to class the next day Meteion is nowhere to be seen, star usually sits in the corner of the room taking notes for Biolum, but today the chair is vacant. You freeze and glance around, hoping to see the chicoon had just gotten up and was talking to someone, but you don’t see the yellow plume anywhere. Instead Biolum is surrounded again by a cacophony of students.
When you clamor up and join the noise, suddenly from behind you is a large CRASH! You all turn and see…. Nothing? A small mrow turns your attention to a small creature at your feet, blinking it’s green eyes up at you? It mrows again and scampers off??

Art/Writing: Comet stands from a distance from the crowd of chicoon students collapsing on poor Biolum. Xe felt bad and tried to speak up but fell into silence as the noise they made overcame xyr words. Xe jumped at the loud crash and turned to look, fur spiked up on edge. What a weird..cat? Xe scratched its chin and tried to approach it but it took off in a scamper. Comet jumped out of its way. Well xe werent going to reach the teacher so xe might as well go after the little critter.

Ziggy blinks, and the creature is gone in a flash. He hesitates, wondering if he should go after the creature. Before deciding not to, it would not have run away if it wanted to be near him, he thought, and it would be cruel to force his presence upon it. Still, he can not help but wonder what the creature was or what it was doing.

Jason chases the creature, not really processing what he's doing. He's so used to chasing things down that he only realizes that's what he's doing a few moments in to the actual chase. From what he saw it looked like a weird little alien cat. It'd go well with Voices and Roswell, honestly, he thought.

Art/Writing: Sara is concerned about Meteion's disappearance, and approaches the rest of the group around Biolum to listen quietly, hoping to overhear anything anyone might know. However, she is quickly distracted by the loud crash, and then the mrow. Looking down, they see a small creature, which runs off before they have an opportunity to say or do anything. Sara decides to follow; after all, if the creature knows anything about what is going on, either with Meteion or the lights she keeps seeing during the labs, she would not want to miss out on the opportunity to find the answers to her questions. So, they rush after the creature, making sure not to lose sight of it. Hopefully, Biolum will not mind. She will return to class as soon as she figures out where the creature is going and why...
