The name of the Greek goddess of night and chaos. Her Roman equivalent is Nyx.

Nox is currently twenty in human years. However, she claims to be ageless when speaking to strangers seeing as she pretends to be a goddess to hide her lack of memories.

O R I E N T A T I O N
Nox is pansexual, seeing no need to prefer one gender or pronoun to the other.

P E R S O N A L I T Y
Nox, seeing as she only knows part of her life, is very questioning and skeptical. She doubts the integrity of others quite often and can see the dark side to anything. However, she does not let this control her. She is not afraid to try to manipulate others to reach her goals and she tries not to get sidetracked. Unfortunately, Nox has a weakness when it comes to hope. If she feels like there is even a slight chance of understanding or obtaining something, she will change her path completely until she succeeds or fails. Nox is also a romantic. She wants to fall in love and is not afraid to flirt a bit if she has taken a liking to a certain kia.

H I S T O R Y
A young kiamara by the name of Amelia had been born in a small town. Her parents were loving and she was ever joyous as she grew. However, rumors began to spread throughout the town. Some said that Amelia was stolen away and as punishment, her eyes were darkened as a permanent reminder to her family. Another rumor was that Amelia was brought with the use of dark magic. With a pelt of stars and dark eyes, one could only assume she was abnormal in more than appearance.

It didn't take long after the beginning of such rumors to drive Amelia's family into panic. They didn't want their daughter to be taken from them, so they began to ensure her safety. She was no longer allowed outside of their home, and she could no longer speak to anyone outside of the family. Her parents turned her into a shut-in, but she was too young to realize it. Sadly, this did not help them to protect her, this only put her in more danger.

Time went on, and Amelia's parents began to act strangely. Everything they did was for her. It was like a game of chess; they were the pawns, and Amelia was the player.

The behavior of her parents only made the rumors become as true as fact to the rest of the town. Out of fear and hatred, they stormed Amelia's home and lit it on fire. As the building began to crumble and burn, Amelia's parents began to gather their belongings. However, when they were ready to leave, the fire had consumed the lower part of the house and the floor they were on was crumbling into the searing embers. In a final hope to escape, Amelia's parents tossed her out of a window and onto the hot grass, just out of the fire's reach. They couldn't escape, but Amelia seemed safe, though she wasn't moving very much. Her parents held each other in their arms as their bodies were consumed by the fire.

After a few minutes of stillness, Amelia opened her eyes and looked at the fire in horror. However, she new nothing about what was going on. She hit her head when she hit the ground, resulting in amnesia. Amelia ran in one direction and did not stop until she could no longer step with her aching feet.

Amelia fell at the steps of a public library and the staff brought her in, soon calling the police to try to find her family. News of the fire had not yet reached the main cities, and now Amelia was in one. While she was in the library, she read many books in hopes of regaining some of her memories, but to no avail. She was losing hope of having a life worth living while not knowing anything about who she was, when she found a section in a book on Greek mythology. Information on a very powerful goddess caught her attention.

There was a section on the one known as Nox, a powerful goddess feared by even mighty Zeus. This inspired Amelia and, since she did not know who she had once been, she would create who she would be. After that day, she lived as not the normal kia she had once been, but as a kia pretending to be a great goddess of Greek mythology.
