Well, it couldn't have been any animaal trying to attack her, most likely those would be on her back or her neck. Predators like to snap the neck or the back to paralaze or even kill prey. A fire couldn't have happened, she would look more bruised, and her fur would look more burned off than cut. {Plus, the scars would be red.} And it's underneath...... most likely she could have been whipped by humans, which would rather hard for that to happen, or she could have been cut by branches when she was running, or maybe even biten at by smaller animals. A dog maybe... {Barbed wire is very popular, so I won't go there! xD} Or what my thought for the most possible idea is she was pulling a cart her owner whipping her through a blizzard she marched, and then suddenly, she slipped. Her and the cart slid down sideways down the side of the cliff, the ice covered rocks were much sharper than usual due to the ice that had gathered up around them, and it brought pain to her underside, but she couldn't feel it, for the blizzard had made her so cold, she could barely feel any of it. Soon though, the ground became softer, the snow gathered so much, the rocks were feet below her, but then the wagon bumped over a large rock, and some of the wood cracked. She was sent flying down the hill, and the cart was behind her. Soon though, she was on her side, and couldn't get up from the position, and the wood cut across her belly, leaving a giant gash. Pain scorched through her, and she cried out for help. Soon, she was at the bottom of the cliff, and was too weak to get up, and passed out. When she woke up, she limped up, and found herself at the edge of enemy territory. {She lived in a war zone, right after a civil war.} She saw the now almost destoryed barb wire. She bolted, and three of the spikes caught her cutting her even more. She winced, but continued to run because she was free.
