the baba yaga. a wicked tale about a reclusive witch living in the woods in her monstrous, chicken-legged hut, with a terrifying fence encirclement, crafted entirely of human bones ..! not to mention her magical mortar & pestle that she uses in place of a flying broom. an absolute character.

what is their favorite obscure fairy tale (must be pre-existing): their favorite obscure fairytale is the shadow by hans christian andersen. it's dark, like most classic fairytales, but they really enjoy seeing the shadow become a fully developed character as the story goes on, ultimately leading to the main character's demise. this little relicorn often stares at their own shadow, wondering if it could ever come alive.
