impress me: Pegasus knew his time had come, his time with his current master was over. The cremello stallion had been here a while, his master had loved him at one point, but with a new family and a new baby, he was being forgotten. Pegasus was not ready to leave his current family, but it was inevitable, whenever someone got too used to having him around, he would be sold to a new master. Whom he would need to get used to all over again.
Pegasus could even see it in his master's eyes, they looked sad, but resigned. His master knew it wasn't good to keep a horse you didn't want anymore, and he had searched for a good home for his old companion. Heatherfallow Ranch, it was called. The place looked gorgeous when he searched online, and when he went there in person it wasn't any different. It was perfect, he hoped Pegasus would enjoy the place as well. He set up a price and a time for the stallion to move to his new home. Back at the barn, the young man slipped the white and blue halter over Pegasus' head, clipped a lead to the bottom, and directed Pegasus to the trailer for transport to Heatherfallow Ranch.
The road was calm, no traffic really. The truck and trailer made it in record time. Pegasus was anxious, a new home meant new people, new horses, new smells. He had only switched homes a few times in his life, but it was enough to know that not every home was as caring as his last. Though once he stepped out of the trailer, he was pleasantly surprised, the air here was crisp and clean. The facilities looked newer and in good repair, and upon looking to the pastures, Pegasus could hear their horses were happy as well. He knew he would have nothing to fear here, at least for a time.
