how do they celebrate easter?: Levi's favorite easter event is the egg spoon race. He is very competitive so the egg on a spoon race is not something to be taken lightly. It is an event in which he must train and prepare for for weeks in advance in order to win the prized Easter ribbon. His stable has a wall dedicated to his Easter ribbons but other than kicking booty in the egg spoon race, he loves to collect as many Easter eggs in the grown stallions-only egg hunt to then give to the young foals and colts. He loves a good competition and competing with friends and family is the best because later down the road in life they will have the funny stories and memories of Easter to reflect on and laugh at.

The mismatched little family only really spends holidays all together, and Refur cherishes this time he has. They enjoy helping the older tolters set up an egg hunt for the new foals, stashing carrots and oats and little treats among the pastures. Refur also enjoys picking flowers for his friends: bluebells and buttercups and marigolds and daisies, all seen in the manes and tails of Cobalt Sky's tolters. Mirage usually ends up wearing a daisy crown, and Refur always sticks a red wildflower in Oasis's tail.

how do they celebrate Easter?: I based this off of what some friends do for Easter.


Pita celebrates Easter in a very special way. His owner gets him a special halter with rabbit ears and whiskers on it and a special saddle that lets him have what looks like a fluffy rabbit tail. He is then brought to stand with others dressed in similar costumes. The thing that made Pira stand out though was the fact while the others in the parade pulled small wagons that held thousands of Easter, Pita, however, was to be ridden leading the parade carrying a basket of Easter eggs. The eggs in the wagons were to distributed as the parade made its way to the nearby Children's Hospital nearby. There at the hospital, Pita delivers his basket to one very special child that is dying to make his last Easter a good one. Then the last of the eggs in the wagons are hidden and the children are allowed out on their Easter egg hunt. The child that was given the basket is normally one too weak to hunt eggs and so instead is strapped into the saddle and is allowed to ride Pita at a slow walk with Pita's owner guiding him. Each year, Pita gets to give one special child the best Easter they have ever had.

how do they celebrate easter?: in the days leading up to easter, aevi likes to help decorate the barn with the help of her fellow barnmates and humans. this includes hanging banners strung with coloured flags in the shape of eggs, bunnies and carrots, where aevi stands patiently while her rider stands on her back to reach the ceiling of the barn. she helps collect flowers to decorate barn doors, though she usually ends up eating them, and wears bunny ears as she carries a basket of chocolates around to the younger kids. her favourite task, however is the painting eggs. using sturdy egg decorations instead of real eggs, and with the help of her rider, aevi splatters eggs with bright paints, or pokes them with the paintbrush to leave spots and blotches. she finds it hard to be accurate, but she tries her hardest to make each egg look festive, and loves nothing more than making a mess with some paint - especially chasing her squealing rider with the brush, painting her breeches or her hair.
