Explanation: Nox lacks the hues of many of the more... Orthodox Xholi (not that they especially need to be a certain hue, that's just how it's mostly been for a while now) and is an indescribable sort of Matt black. Not to mention the placement of their gems makes their look quite fearsome. More of consolation to themself than a riddle for others, this is their constant reminder that despite their looks, they are just who they want to be.

Answer: Fear

Explanation: To be a Hunter is to throw away fear and to keep it close, all at once. It keeps him safe, cautious of himself and of others around him. Without fear, there would be no desire for anything at all. It's in everyone's nature, and he likes the flaws fear give others and how it changes their personalities with it, changing them even just a slight amount from what they were before.

it's a beautiful reminder that no who yaksha is, he is still very small in
the world, and can still easily be broken. he must still be cautious of his
surroundings and not to get full of himself. a simple riddle full of meanings.

Explanation: why is this riddle important to 35's character:
What's that? Who's there? In the shadows, just beyond focus.
One could easily describe this xholi as a steadfast character, a fine hunter, coat perfect for slipping in and out of cover, a gaze so piercing it freezes his prey to the spot. His beauty is one of wonders; like a stone cold lake in winter being gently caressed by the moon's silver touch. One would think he is without flaw, but this is merely the surface, mere ripples atop vast depths.

Every time he sees his reflection, he questions himself, pulling himself apart to find his meaning for existing, that he was more than just a reflection of past xholi hunters, part of an endless cycle that he too would eventually pass on to unfortunate youngsters.
Stop, look there. Is that really me?
Is this what I really should be doing with my life?
From a young age how much of an impact he made on the others around him, how much of a difference he made to the world, bothered him and led his paws; it was what convinced him to become a hunter, for surely providing the food necessary for the rest to live was it, right? Lately he's not so sure however, as the hunts start to get more repetitive than usual, and bright young apprentices wanting him to teach them keep showing up.
Stop, I'm not the amazing Xholi you think I am.
Even his gem was shaped like a waterdrop, as if from his very birth the world was telling him he wasn't really there, just one drop in the pail of water. Given time the ripples the drop made fade, until it all looks just like the rest of the droplets before it, indistinguishable from any of them.

So this riddle is important to him because it describes his most raw insecurities, and somehow he has been able to take comfort in that.
