For many seasons, lumenwings had been a tiny species, kept contained and starved on a tiny island off the coast of some otherworldly continent. Barely any food to eat and safe water to drink, their population stayed small, and their days were filled with woe. Luckily, they were freed; and fresh water flowed from every stream, fruit and prey were plump and bountiful... and another problem arose among the fast-growing population. That is to say, overpopulation. Too many lumenwings, all jammed together on one teeny tiny island with few other places to go... truly, quite a predicament! Indlo, the leader and deity of the lumenwings, consulted the strongest deity in their universe, and together they formed a plan.

The Inter-Dimensional Portal, a spiraling light tunnel created at the center of the Golden Grove, and an invitation system to send the overabundance of lumenwings through the portal to... elsewhere. Where is elsewhere? Other universes and dimensions, of course! And your universe could be next!

General Rules

1. All Chicken Smoothie rules and guidelines must be followed in any interaction within the ARPG; this includes interactions both on forum threads and within the Discord server.
2. Please respect all members of the community and all staff.
3. Any usage of AI-generated content, including but not limited to images, adopt entries, and adopt prompts is strictly prohibited, and will result in an instant ban. If you believe you have been wrongly banned or deceived by an AI image you used, don't be afraid to fill out the Ban Appeal Form!
4. You may have as many subgroups, ranks, and folders as you wish, however your lumenwings must all be stored on one single storage page. This can be a CS thread, a toyhou.se page, or some other form of publicly accessible storage.
5. All users are entitled to one founder if their account is at least 2 months of age; this founder may be traded, however the user cannot get another founder if they choose to trade them.
6. Begging of any kind (ex. for lumenwings, species items, or art) is not tolerated.
7. Individual pages have their own rules; please follow those alongside the rest of the rules listed in this post.

Species Rules

1. Artists have one month to judge competitions after their end date. If a judging period runs over this granted time period, you are permitted to contact one of the species owners with concerns.
2. Lumenwings are an on-oekaki species. You may do whatever you wish with your lumenwing’s reference off-oekaki, however their oekaki ref is the image considered “official” for each individual lumenwing. All edits must be applied through color-in, and all edit changes or item uses must be recorded through posting a form in the Archive Updates. Edits must be approved by one of the owners in order to be considered official. C+ Edits require usage of an eraser item to be removed. C+ Edits require usage of a pencil or quill item to be adjusted/changed. NR edits require no item to be removed or changed. Background and line color changes may be done at any time without needing an approval. If you wish to use a background not in your lumenwing’s file, you can find a download of all of our backgrounds (for use on Lumenwings only) here. Note that this will not be considered an official ref change, as backgrounds are cosmetic and optional.
3. Coat designs and wing/lantern/antenna/whisker patterns may not be edited for any reason without the necessary items.
4. Any lumenwing design may be transferred out of the species upon request, as long as a link back to its original Oekaki page is given or the design is given an off-base reference. Do note that transferred-out lumenwings can never be transferred back in. Transferring a design out is permanent. Lumenwings will be considered transferred out if the owner’s Chicken Smoothie account is deleted.
5. There is no limit to how many lumenwings a single user can own.

Getting Started

1. Check out the rules post above for all the rules and guidelines of Lumenwings!
2. Create a storage page! This can be on Chicken Smoothie, Toyhou.se, or even Google Docs or Google Sheets - as long as it's publicly accessible. This step is required to win adopts and request your founder.
3. If your account is over 2 months old, you can request your founder and claim them once they're done. Founders are single free customizable lumenwings made by one of our artists, and they even come with a welcome package once made!
4. If your account isn't eligible for a founder yet, or you simply want something to do while waiting for your founder, check out the active adopts! These lumenwings will have an "Adopt Me!" sign on their oekaki image. Note that not all lumenwings with an "Adopt Me!" sign are still open - remember to check when the competition ends (or ended, in some cases) before entering!
5. After you get a lumenwing from any source, feel free to check out the stories function for monthly unique prompts in exchange for rewards, as well as prompts for more permanent questions that also reward your answers! If an event is ongoing, you can also enter that with your brand new lumenwing!

General Rules

Chrys has an excellent skill for assigning lumenwings to universes, but not every placement sticks. Reassignments allow any lumenwing to find a more suitable home! On rollover to the 1st and 15th of each month, the current set of reassignments will be judged and a new sets of reassignments will open if there are lumenwings in the reassignment pool. You may enter for any and all of the lumenwings up for reassignment, but you can only win one! Reassignments are judged in listed order. To enter, fill out the form below and post on this thread, Be careful not to remove the underlined words at the top of the form, as that'll be how we find your form for judging!
