Introduction

▓▓▓▓▓

▓▓▓▓▓The cats of Haven are different from their warrior cat ancestors, having evolved after a terrible apocalypse reduced civilization to ash. Their paws have become so dextrous that they're able to craft like early humans once did, an adapted intelligence allows them to learn trades and pass them down, and the Clans that once united to form the factions of Haven are able to protect each other with numbers.

▓▓▓▓▓Still it's an imperfect world, with their intelligence came a growing social divide and now Haven once forged and united in the discord of a crumbling world is divided by class. They've grown to value survival and with it, a new sense of pride in their lineage has formed, a cat born into a class in one of the 9 Havens is rarely able to rise above station or leave their Haven.

▓▓▓▓▓Though slowly the ruins of society are reclaimed by nature, dangers lurk everywhere for the cats of Haven, and ever still their numbers grow...

Hey everyone! I apologize for how quiet I've been regarding this project.

I'm still chipping away at it, as always! You'll notice a couple of important changes- the Rules have been updated, there's now a Navigation post, and while it's not open just yet the Adventuring mechanics and rules are available for you to read! The Adventuring Guide linked on the main page post goes more in depth on how it works, you don't need to read the whole thing to get the gist of what you need to do, but I do recommend skiming the "Attribute Scores", "Health & Hunger", "Illness & Injury", and "Death" sections as the bare minimum!

The Ranking system is also now totally functional and you can find the tasks you need to complete to rank up and start collecting characters on the Task Board post! And if you need to change your characters' details at all, the Archive is up now as well.

That said, before anything else, you'll want to scoot on over to the new Ledger to register your on-CS tracking thread!

I will be updating character profiles, so expect some layout changes on your characters' pages! There will be 5 new characters including a Milestone kitty up shortly!

I'm slowly updating everything and preparing to open to the general public, since the beta didn't receive much attention. This is actually a good thing, and means I'll be able to keep up with demand!

The last 5 designs including an albino milestone adopt will be revealed next week!

What are Attribute Scores?
Every character has their strengths and weaknesses, in the
Haven ARPG these are quantified with Attribute Scores!

How you describe your character's actions in response
to an encounter is important, because that's how a
writer determines which attribute your character will
use to confront the challenge.

Make sure to read the Adventure Guide for the full
information on adventuring!

How to get started
You're probably wondering what exactly Adventuring
is in this context!
For the purpose of Haven, Adventuring refers to
sending between 1-4 characters out into the wild world
of the lands that Haven occupies. It's a brave new
world, not everything has been discovered and there's
still plenty of mysteries to be found and solved!

You might find cool stuff to bring home, fight to defend
your home, or have to flee a vicious predator!

To get started, you'll want to fill out the Beginners Form
below- your character doesn't have any Attribute Scores
yet, they'll be assigned randomly when you send them
on an adventure for the first time!
