Here you can find some guides and color palettes to help you out when making artist entries or MYOs for Return!

Tortoiseshells, or torties, are cats with one red (XO) and one black (Xo) X chromosome, which will show both eumelanin and pheomelanin, usually in significant amounts. They can come in any shade and pattern, with a few restrictions: black, chocolate, and cinnamon cats will have red patches, and blue, lilac, and fawn cats will have cream patches. Cats without white tend to have a tight brindling pattern, and as the amount of white increases, the pigment groups into more solid islands of color. This has a stunning amount of variation. Agouti tortoiseshell is called torbie, tortoiseshell bicolor is called calico, and agouti calicos are called calibies or tabicos. A split evenly down the face is not unusual, due to how cells divide in utero, and does not signify chimerism.
