As I lie on my back,
Gazing up at the sky.
I see two fleecy lambs,
Bounding by.

And all of a sudden,
What do I see?
Why, a big polar bear,
Glaring down at me.

Now there’s a dragon,
Breathing white fire.
And it’s replaced in a poof!
By a monkey swinging in a tire.

The parade continues,
With a ship floating on a white sea.
Then there’s an elephant,
Waving its trunk at me.

Watching the clouds is so much fun,
They are whatever you want to see.
All that is needed,
Is to let your imagination run free.

To the stars in the sky
I must sing this song,
For they glitter and die
Both faintly and strong;
Like enchanting melody
That came to my ears,
With longings and memory
That no one ever hears.

I will sing of my wishes
To wherever they go,
What one hopes for and misses
When you love someone so;
Everything that I had
From the past until now,
What once made me so glad
Like a colorful rainbow.

To the stars that I see
On the dark heavens on,
That are faraway and free
Till the night sky is gone;
Like enchanting sweet song
That so softly will flow,
And you hear all day long
Like the past long ago.

peace is found in that cold dark sky
that steady fear
the by and by
I hold my breath
I close my eyes
I'm lost within this paradigm

Heading home is a new last path
I feel the sky
it screams it's wrath
but where am I beneath what's high?
why am I stuck between now
and some time afore the aftermath

a feeling jumps under the glass
that glass that holds those dead dark stars
holding still before the blast
holding still below that mass
I take in air I rest my lungs
holding still my soul may pass

I see it now above the stars
soaring faster now past mars
those silvery stars are now ours
all kept safe within warm jars
kept close to my heart, within my arms
peace is found in that cold dark sky
