Desktop dinos are reptiles the size of half a banana. They have amazing memory; they're able to remember things they saw, smelled or heard only once even after a decade! It's almost like they have photographic memory. Of course though, there are some rare exceptions.
Although most humans keep them as just pets, they are the best companions for scatterbrained people and people with memory issues, meaning they can be both just a usual pet reptile or a service animal!

They are omnivores and walk on all fours. They're ectothermic animals - they can't produce heat themselves (even those that have firey aspects on their body only produce cold flames), meaning they absolutely need a place to get warm.
Despite it being impossible for them to talk like humans, they can, in fact, be taught to write! Though with the lack of a thumb, it's only possible for them to do so using keyboards, typewriters, and the likes.

I really need to write some more lore here, excuse me ;.;

• This is a closed species. You may not make your own without a ticket or permission.
• This is mostly a for-profit species, but there will be free adopts too, don't worry!
• You cannot resell free adopts. Reselling bought adopts is fine as long as you're selling them for the exact same price as you've bought them for or lower. With or without extra art.
• There's a three-warnings system in place: I catch you breaking three rules or a rule three times, you're banned from the species.
  
  • In case of getting banned your desktop dinos will not be taken away. You won/bought them, they're yours. But you will not be able to buy/win any more of them, nor buy myo tickets.
  • The only places you're going to be able to use after getting banned are the Main Page and the Archive Updates threads!
  • You will not be able to receive any more DDs via being gifted or trading. You'll only be able to gift your DDs and items away or sell them according to the rules mentioned above!

There'll be a better guide made for this but in a nutshell:
There are no rarities. There are some limited and banned traits, but all in all any edit is fine save for those limited and banned ones.
