Mustela pennáta, better known by their common name, isodora, are closely related to weasels. They are omnivores, and they mainly eat insects and plants. They live in mountains and usually flock to rainy areas. They are social animals; sometimes forming packs, and other times living alone but interacting with nearby isodora. Isodora will hoard small items they find, like soda cans, discarded jewelry, and empty wrappers. They give away items from their hoards to show affection.

They are nocturnal, and their eyes are very sensitive to light. They do not have very good hearing, since their ears are hidden under their fur. The tufts of feathers on their heads are not real ears. They have four wings most of the time. They use these wings for gliding, and very rarely flying.
