Hello!
In order to transfer kalon out of species, you need to get permission from the designer, and from a member of the board (Rabbit, Jiinxed, Wild card, or Kyar)- if the designer of the kalon says no, then that is the final verdict - you will not be able to transfer that kalon out of species. This includes if you're unable to contact them at all for any reason. (You cannot have someone else ask for you - it must be you directly contacting them in a way staff can verify as them.)
If you are looking to transfer a nursery kit out of species, you also need to ask the owners of the parents.
If you get the go ahead to transfer, you must put the design onto a non-kalon base (with all kalon-specific traits being removed), and then you post the appropriate form on the archive thread to signify that the design is no longer in species.

Yes, removing the pupil would be an uncommon eye edit!

question about the bank; the items are split up into two columns, "open" and "lock":

does this mean the equivalent of "available" and "used" with items under "lock" having been used/not able to be used now? or is it to do with the c$ shop, where the items under "lock" are items that cant be traded? thanks!

Open means that an item was purchased through the dA shop (or through another user) and can be resold (or traded/gifted), lock means that they were not purchased/traded for (or bought through the CS shop) which means they can only be traded/gifted!
