these announcement consist of new rules and staff changes. please read!

first of all, I would like to start with the little amount of staff who have stepped down from our team!

Pumpkin Cupcake was our nursery/event Sima archivist! she did a wonderful job keeping up with the species at our pace and,
unfortunately, has to step down as her life gets busier.

on that note, I'd like to announce the new additions/promotions/movements in our team!!

PaleCyberneticHyena has been apart of our team since the very beginning of Simas, and has stuck through thick
and thin no matter what hardships the species has gone through. more recently, she has stepped down from her position
as a co-owner of the species and graciously accepted our invitation to be a moderator instead! She remains part of our
team to help enforce rules and answer questions, and to occasionally make adopts for us as she starts college!

Miss.Scei was an artist for our species and continues to happily make adopts for us when she can and, after so long
of assisting us behind the scenes with the rarity guide and many of our rules as well as answering questions for users so well
when we weren't around to, she has been offered a position as a moderator and also graciously accepted it!

Ember the Wolf, who has been a member of the community for ages, has been hired as a new artist for the
species! We look forward to seeing more designs from you and you have definitely earned your position. Despite there being
a minimum amount of Simas to make during her time as a guest artist, she went above and beyond and continued to make
many lovely designs for the community! Please give her a warm welcome to the team(even tho this is late) and congrats!

MimiBitz has earned a new spot in our team as our new nursery/event archivist! Please give her a warm welcome if
you see her around the discussion thread!! Welcome to the team, Mimi! We hope to see some more of you around and are
eager to get to know you!




now, we move on to the new rules that everybody has to read and become familiar with!

we have been a species known for allowing you to own unlimited Simas, and we will continue to do so (so don't worry,
you don't have to gift any Simas away!). However, we have set some new limits that everybody will be required to
abide by (including staff). On the front page, underlined and highlighted in red, are the new rules you need to read.

the new rule including the limits is an effort to help bring new users into the community and to help slow down the
amount of Simas gained by regularly adopting people! this isn't to target anyone, simply an effort to help our community
grow!

some may have been unspoken rules, but we are now hoping to clear them up through these new ones.

★ You may own unlimited Simas- however, there are limits.

> In the nursery, you can only obtain up to 6 kits per month. this won't change no matter the amount of Simas you own.

> For every 25 Simas you obtain through Main adopts/the nursery, the amount of Simas you can obtain through
the main adopt page itself will lower:

-24 = no limit
25+ Simas = 5 obtainable main adopts per month
50+ = 5 obtainable main adopts every two months
75+ = 5 obtainable main adopts every four months
100 = 5 obtainable main adopts every eight months
...
200+ = 5 obtainable main adopts a year

> You can also only obtain 5 Simas through gifting/trading per month.

★ You are allowed to co-own Simas, but it will count as 1 Sima towards the amount you both own.

those are the overall changes that affect everybody and every aspect of the species.
these include the Simas you obtain on deviantart which are free adopts. Paid adopts/purchased MYOs will count
towards it and will continue to be very limited compared to the amount of free adopts coming out. Free-obtained
MYOs do not count towards the limit if you won it yourself, but if you traded for it, it counts towards the limit.

nursery kits will count towards the method you use to determine how many main adopts you can obtain with the list above.



that being from the general rule changes, there are nursery changes that are very important to read as well
and to get situated with.

★ You may only ever acquire 6 kits from the nursery per month.

★ You are allowed to request for a lower amount of kits then what can be rolled for.
> For example you may state that you would only like a single kit even if more would have been rolled for.
> This request has to be stated in the Other section of the nursery ticket as it is given to the artist of choice

you may request for twins only if they roll for triplets/quads.
triplets can be requested ONLY IF they roll for quadruplets.

despite the new limit, there is something that will, hopefully, delight you guys:

★ Each and every sima has a limit of 6 breedings outside of the soulmate perk and specific items.
> You are however only allowed to use 2 items for an additional breeding on each individual sima
> The items for completely resetting a simas limit on breedings are not counted by this.

1 extra breeding slot for all Simas! Dust of Venus is also excluded, but you may only use it on soulmate Simas who have used up all of their breedings- even if they used up the extra 2 slots given by items!

★ You cannot pick the genders unless the artist states otherwise.

> 1-60 - Single | 61-90 - twins | 91-98 - triplets | 99-100 - quads

the last one is a note towards nursery artists, use this from now on when you roll for kits!



As a side note, there is a new set of rules for the Offtopic Skype Chat on the discussion thread, please read those if
you're one of the members of that chat.

My recommendation to all of you is to make a note somewhere of the extra breeding (and that you can
only use 2 items that give an individual Sima an extra breeding slot on each individual Sima), and start
getting in gear with screenshots of giftings/trades so there are no misunderstandings and so you don't get
into trouble.

Please do your best to keep track of how many Simas you own and remember the limits. If you go over the
limit, you will have to gift the Sima that exceeds the monthly limit.

We will be looking to hire official event staff, so keep an eye out for that as it might possibly come soon!

If any of you have any questions or concerns or anything that can help us improve the species, please don't
hesitate to message any of the owners of the species and ask! We are currently working on adding a guide
to CS for the traits of Simas and for anything that is included on the google docs to make things easier to access.

again as a reminder, this isn't to personally attack anybody in the community! we are making an effort to slow
things down and make it so that new members trickling in have an easier time getting started as well!

remember, this affects everybody. including staff.
