RELEASE THE HOUNDS

It's the grand reopening of Belgian Kelpies! After two ownership transfers, we're finally getting things rolling. Here's a few things to look out for in the next few weeks:

-Winter Wonder Event!
-Birthday pups!
-Competition DARPG Boot Up
-And of course, lovely adopts!

Winter Wonder Event!

I've had this idea for a while and after talking with Water Witch, we decided on a little event for you guys to indulge in during the holiday season. Belgian Kelpies are working dogs, so obviously we need a sled team

Here's how it will work

There will be 5 dogs given out during this event. Each one will have its own custom holiday sled gear! There will be 4 dogs awarded just like normal. 1 art comp, 1 writing comp, 1 naming comp, and 1 picture comp. The 5th will be a dog given away by a form comp and it will be a full custom done by me, Zaxy Overlord These dogs will be the source of holiday cheer in future years, so be prepared for us to use the pups every holiday season for events! They will be the Official Belgian Kelpie Sled Team.

If you have an questions or concerns about loose ends that need to be tied up or about the event, PM me. (To those who have dogs with mixed up gender parts on the adoption picture, unless I made the pup, I cant edit it, I'm sorry T.T)

I was just browsing through some of the BKs that have already been made when I saw mention of double merle being for special occasions only. I was just wondering if double merle dogs is actually something that's allowed in the breed?

Normally, no. Double merles often have major disabilities, including blindness and deafness. They are bred when a breeder carelessly breeds two merles to et more merle pups, as they are more in demand. They are sometimes kept so that they can be bred with a solid dog and produce all male pups. (I'm not a mod or anything, just a genetics freak!! Don't mind me, leaving now.)
