Having been born from what most people refer to as Mother Nature, four siblings were created, Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. From these four, herds and generations quickly populated the areas, evolution and natural disaster seemingly having little to no effect on their progression through the ages. These creatures are most commmonly refered to as Corniger EquoCervus, though most people shorten it to Equo or Cervus.
As the natural lore goes, they were created not only as steeds for elves, allowing both the horses height and the elves natural height to equal out, but also for a means to protect the forests- their natural habitat. Granted, they lived in close to all forests, including tropical landscapes. It was typically very common to find 2-3 herds per forest, depending on the size. And for a while, that lasted peacefully.
Though, strange creatures they had once seen as simple primal beings, now began to do something rather peculiar. They began to cut down trees, at first, it was only a few. But as time progressed, so did their destructive ways, the forests once lush and heavily populated began to dwindle swiftly. Left with but a few choices, a large population moved into one of the largest forests left. But this time? They were determined not a single tree would fall to the hands of humans, their natural soft and playful nature becoming cold and rather aggressive towards the strange two legged beings.
Declaring it war among themselves, they've no outside contact with the humans, refusing to even let them near the forest. But a few, barely enough to notice, are quite curious these days. Can you pursuade them to you?
