WHAT IS A VENTUS LUPI?
◌ Ventus Lupi are the common ancestors of Nyeinstan Dires and share many similarities.
◌ This type of wolf is up to 3x the size of the normal Grey Wolf and 2x as large as the Dire Wolf. The usually have a plain base color and solid colored markings, though Greater Ventus Lupi commonly have brighter markings and it isn't rare to have blending into the base ones or multi-colored ones. Venti usually have a thick main, but a small percentage do lack this trait. They most commonly have great wings rising from their back. It is extremely rare that gene defects create a wolf with no wings, especially in the common variety of Venti.
◌ Their claws are considerably larger than a normal wolf's claws, with their front claws being larger than their back claws. If kept in good condition, their claws can slice through flesh like butter. Dull claws have 50% percent reduction in reliability for slicing through their intended target.
◌ Most Venti are un-trusting of humans, therefor they stay away from human civilization unless they have to go near them. There are a select few, roughly 15% of Ventus Lupi that interact with humans and become companions with them. Once they have become a humans companion, they will be very protective and loyal to said person, willing to risk their life to save their friend.
◌ Females in both variations are typically slightly bigger than males. It isn't uncommon to find that the trait varies.
◌ Venti are able to speak to humans. They rely mostly on English but are smart so as to learn other languages as well. German is a first language for about half the population, as it is the origin of the Greater Venti. Only Greater Venti have the capability of speaking in more than one language at once.
◌ Litters of pups range from 2-6 offspring.

➤No Spoken Limit
Although there are people that hoard adoptables (this isn't allowed, if I catch you hoarding them, you will get a warning) every chance they get, I have decided to release all Venti without a limit to how many you can have. This being said, I will not have someone signing up for every singe Venti and have them win all of them.
Full time artists will be allowed to make 3 customs and guest artists shall be allowed to make 2 customs. Special artists have the privilege to make as many customs as they like, so long as they create and equal number of adopts AT LEAST.
➤Be Respectful
Please do not start fights with other Ventus Lupi Owners. I do not tolerate aggression or rude/sarcastic behavior. I will temporarily ban you from the thread for a set amount of days.
Repeated offenses = Banned from the thread Permanently and all Venti will be moved to the pound and stripped of their names.
This does not affect roleplays.
➤Names must be appropriate
I do not want any inappropriate or senseless names. Anything that should not be said on CS in general (adult material) should not even be thought of as a name.
Lol, Smiley, Derpy, etc. will not be accepted as names. Please be creative with your Venti's names.

Roleplays are meant for everyone's adoptables to interact with each other. Go wild with your plots and feel free to use your adoptable as the image for the character ref sheets.
Fanart is appreciated, such as a stamp or banner, but no creating your own versions of the species. It is a CLOSED species.
➤Do not use on another website without crediting
The adoptables I draw must not be used on any other website besides here without linking back to the thread and crediting the line artist and design artist. If you wish to draw them yourselves, go ahead. That is art you may post other places without linking back.
Do not use my artwork to claim as your own, nor the species.
➤Breeding
When breeding, only MALExFEMALE is aloud. You may ONLY take 1 of your Venti's litter for each parent you own, UNLESS you've gotten permission to breed those Venti from other Venti owners. Then, and only then, are you allowed to pick from the litter when you don't own the Venti.
Common and Greater Venti may breed together, but Ludicro Venti may only breed with other Ludicro.
Once you have chosen your Venti to keep there are two options: gift or put up for adoption. Make sure to tell me who you're gifting those Venti to. If those 'owners' of the held Venti do not respond within two weeks to claim their gifted Venti then the litter WILL go up for adoption.
You MUST wait at least a week before your Venti may breed again. Venti's may breed four times -subject to change- before they cannot breed any longer.
Puppy's grow up in one week. PM the artist when you'd like to see your full grown Venti.
Markings may change color, appear, or disappear as they grow, so don't be surprised if they seem to change before your eyes!
