Zarrots are cat sized creatures that hatch from a glass egg, somehow, broken glass does not hurt them when they are born, but effects them when they grow. They have feathers, not fur, and some types of Zarrots have wings, and are able to fly. Those who don't have wings swing from branch-to-branch using their long, strong, flexible tails, and glide by flattening their stomachs. They have a lifespan of 50 years
All Zarrots are unique. While all are slender, have long tails, and feathers, they look different by markings and different muzzles. Most have cat muzzles, but some Zarrots have wolf muzzles, and beaks. They can also have talons, paws, or both. All Zarrots have manes. Their markings are unlimited from spots to stripes, to plain.
Zarrots warm up quickly to their owners, and are easy to tame. But, it is difficult to capture one, since most hide from unknown humans. They can blend into their surroundings, if their markings are good enough. They are uncommon, mostly. But during humid summers, they are quite common.
Zarrots breed in spring. Some pairs stay together and raise their young, while others leave them as soon as the eggs are laid. It is quite rare for Zarrots to know their parents, but it is possible. They adapt to their surroundings quickly, and babies feed on milk and fruit. Adult Zarrots eat fruit and vegetation. Zarrots leave the nest when they are six months old.
