The prices will remain the same. In my opinion, the prices are pretty reasonable considering the fact I draw each item individually. We put a lot of effort in time in these. It is not required to purchase SCTs or items, and even then [like Sunny said], users do not have to send rares, very rares, or omg so rares.
If you do not like the prices, then don't buy anything. Compared to other adoptables I have seen, the prices are fairly cheap. At least there is an option to trade in lower rarity pets, right?

Exactly. Look at the JMDs, you have to offer multiple very rares for even a chance at a custom, and then breedings cost even more. We do the first THREE customs for free. I think our prices are fair, especially since, unlike most adoptables, we have a lower value pet option to make it easier for everyone. Most places will only accept rares or higher if payment is required. And obviously, people can afford our prices, already having spent more than 6,000 SCTs.

And even then, we'll often have special deals allowing users to get SCTs easier
