okay -.- iv noticed everytime someone makes a palomino horse its looks mustard yellow -.- not palomino.....
this is what it should look like! i dont mean to be rude but im a horse person and it been bugging me.....

The shade of "gold" in palominos can vary a lot. It be any shade from dark gold (example) to nearly white (example). So they actually are palominos.

so that color IS posible. Though I can see what you mean they should be more of a tan- not dun-
and is only possible if the sun is giving that iridescent look to it. iridescence is controlled by the internal structure of the hair shaft. They also have darker pigment granules floating around in the cortex which reflect the light like glitter. The tips of each hair is devoid of pigment.(Glowy coat!) and if it is a dark palomino should be giving off a more chestnut feel to it. Not a yellow hue. The color a palomino gives reflects on alot of things- genetics- ( my trainer taught me some horse coat genetics)
but then again -possible- :D

But its nice you brought that to attention...

lawls i was talking to my friend about it today, we were having a little competition and she showed my her new palomino paint foal (hes such a qutie >w< <3 <3) and i remember this and we started chatting about palominos haha and ya i know what you mean with the tips of hairs changing color xD during the winter my thoroughbred goes from a thin dark bay coat to a fluffy dark bay with cherry bay tips xDDDD and he suddenly develops a tan color around his muzzle and under his eyes
