So I hope you’re all familiar with my whelkon,
They are a unique wolf x elk cross with the noble qualities and horns of a dragon. They used to be quite popular last spring and summer, not JBD or Kiamara popular, but at point where people actually looked forward to new adopts or put time and effort into their forms.
Now, I know it’s been very quiet around the forums of my little AWE, but I’m hoping to change that. Big time c:
I have lots of exciting news and I hope all of you take time to read and appreciate them~
Firstly, this has been a secret for a while, but I am making brand new lines, today!
My anatomy, lining, shading and overall art has improved and the lines will be much more accurate and easy to work with.
I am also hiring lots of new staff, the main goal is to hire the type of staff that will keep the threads running even when I’m gone as I am in my last two years of school, have lots of real life to deal with and college to think about c: Don’t worry I will still be very active, especially this year. I just need to know that if I suddenly poof the whelkon won’t suffer and die quietly like they did this time. There has been way too much work put into this species that is very dear and real to me as I’m sure to many others <3
I am keeping all staff that was already hired apart from the guest artists, possibly archivist and others to be discussed. I just want to start fresh and hire active, organised people.
So! If you know anyone or you yourself match these requirements please don’t be afraid to pm me. I will mostly be hiring artists myself but you can still pm me if you are good at designing and are willing to follow the appearance of my species and not do your own thing completely, it’d be nice id I’ve at least heard your name before and you’re not a complete stranger ;D
Another thing, I am almost definitely making a new thread. I was going to keep this one for a while but it’s too all over the place, that includes a new fan club (which I will also not be making myself, pm me for details!) and a new information thread (Yep, all new) apart from the long long long info thread which I will be updating to match my new ideas,
Also, I am very excited about this~ we are going to have a nursery! Yep, cute tiny whelkon lines, breedings are going to be offered by all of our artists now and your whelkon will also have the opportunity to be colored into the grown-up lines for a tiny price c:
I might even find some lost little Welk who need a home on those lines and you will be able to adopt your own tiny babe <3
And lastly here are more moderator/artist related news/updates:
First, their appearance design and color wise is going to change slightly, they will be a bit more natural as those colors suit them, and there is going to be a less of a limit on the markings as such. Only stripes, brindle and ‘dots’ are allowed as before but as my own designing style has changed you are now going to be able to layer colors, use more of them and be a little more creative. This may include a few, tiny line edits ;D
Also, the adoption forms and front posts are going to be a lot less hassle, which was a problem before. I was very new at this whole adoptables thing and was TOO organised so anyways now there’s no need for you to format everything and write the ‘congratulations’ like I did etc, you can just do it your own way. Post an adoptable whelkon, its adoption form and then when the winner is announced quote that form on the front post, like all the other adoptables, simple! C:
As I said all artists can offer breedings now and thanks to the new thread I’m going to have new sections for all of this. I am not going to be able to update every little thing so I hope some of the mods will take up roles and help me out. I’ll pm further information to those concerned x3

Hope you are all excited, I am putting ALL of this into action today, I realise it will take me about 7 hours or so ahaha but it all depends how quickly all the people I’m contacting or are contacting me sort things out. I would love to start adopting them out today but that may be a bit of a stretch. Then again everything is possible when the mighty whelkon are involved ;3
