Why do you want to adopt?
Well, the minute I saw her I knew I had to try to adopt her. I am still nervous about the pound sugar glider rat, since the winner has not been announced yet, but I just had to try for this girl. I have adopted many rats from here, and if I win Ginger I will have eight rats. If I don't win Ginger, I will have seven. I love each one, especially my baby Pacana, my only dwarf rat. And she has the most adorable, curly fur. When I saw Fiona Ginger, I thought of Pacana. Though all of her fur is not curly, some of her fur is and I was reminded of Pacana - they look quite a little bit alike! Which is probably one reason why I have fallen in love with Ginger. That little green coat, that adorable, adorable hat, her amazing items, and that curly-fluffy-tipped tail that reminds me so much of Pacana - my little girl has a tail almost just like that.
Normally I don't like animals with shirts and pants and outfits, though I don't mind items. Or animals with human-styled hair. But this little rat is an exception to that. I adore her outfit, and she wouldn't be the same without it. Her coat is just... it's just so cute.
And her colors. Those gingery browns and that curly ginger fur/hair just make her perfect. And I have always loved St. Patties day. Probably because I love the color green. But anyway, every St. Patties day, me and my mom have a... tradition x3 every St. Patties day (or Eve) my mom read me this wonderful little Children's book called Fiona's Luck, which is why I want to call this rat Fiona Ginger.
I love rats, and I would love to have a St. Patties based rat. I would be honored to be chosen as Ginger's new owner. Thank you for the chance at getting this rat <3

Rat Name:
Fiona Ginger.
She is more commonly called 'Ginger' but some also call her 'Fiona' and on occasion, her full name 'Fiona Ginger,' though she prefers just 'Ginger' and it annoys her sometimes when she is called 'Fiona.' Why this is no one really knows, but she is happy when she is just called 'Ginger'

Personality:
Mischievous.
Fiona Ginger is... well, she is mischievous. Simply mischievous. Always has been and, most likely, always will. She has the habit of stealing any gold coins, or anything shiny, really, from people, and also tends to play tricks. Her favorite day of the year, beside St. Patties day, is April Fools, April first. Why? Because everyone, everywhere, is playing tricks! And Ginger is an expert trick player. Her tricks are (almost) never mean, and everyone, even the one who got tricked, usually gets a good laugh out of it. Ginger's main goal in life is to make people, and herself, laugh. And she accomplishes that goal quite a bit. However, her mischievousness can sometimes being annoying. Like the time Espíritu caught Ginger in her cage, stealing some gold coins. Espíritu was not happy about that. So now, Ginger does all her stealing and setting up of pranks at night when almost everyone is sleeping.
Loves to laugh.
Ginger loves to laugh. She has little sayings on sticky notes stuck all over her cage, like 'when life gives you lemons, laugh in life's face while you drink lemonade' and other things like that. She loves to tell jokes, and loves to make others laugh. She also loves to make herself laugh. She enjoys watching comedies on TV, funny movies and stuff. Her favorite show is M*A*S*H, an older show that she finds absolutely hilarious... most of the time. Lemon loves the show as much as her, but doesn't see how every single episode is funny... well, usually they are, but to Ginger, every single episode is laughing-for-over-an-hour funny. Anyway, Ginger for sure loves to laugh.
Silly.
Ginger is silly. Mostly to make her friends laugh. She loves making friends, and is very happy when they laugh at the funny things she says, or if she's just plain acting silly. Ginger is pretty much silly all the time, telling jokes and such. She likes to stand on her hind legs and walk backwards, usually tripping after three seconds, making her friends laugh. She will also do a headstand, a handstand, or in her case, a pawstand. She will try to balance on her tail like a kangaroo, or just jump around like a silly rat. Anything to make herself and her friends laugh. Ginger is, for sure, a very silly rat.
Playful.
Ginger is a little blur of green and gingery brown energy. She loves to run around the house at full speed. Up the stairs, down the stairs. Up the couch. Down the couch. Climb up a chair. Climb down a chair. Run around like a maniac. Run around like a maniac backwards. When she's in an energetic, playful mood, Ginger is a little bundle of energy. Board and card games? She couldn't play one for five minutes. Now tag, that's her kind of game. Hide and seek? Only when she can be the seeker. Be silly? Always. Ginger especially loves spring because she isn't cooped up in the house anymore. She can run around in the grass, through the flowers, up a tree, down a tree... you get the idea. She especially loves stopping to sniff the flowers. For about one second. Then she's running again. She has so much energy you could bottle it and sell it. The other rats can't keep up with her. After three games of tag, they are usually laying in the grass, panting and exhausted, while Ginger's standing over them waiting for them to get up for a couple more games. Ginger for sure is playful and energetic.
Friendly.
Ginger loves making new friends. Once they get used to her mischievous, stealing side, they see that Ginger loves a good laugh and is quite funny. If Ginger sees a rat she hasn't met yet, she dashes over and cries 'hello! I'm Ginger! Want to be friends?' usually to the other rat's surprise. Ginger is a happy, friendly rat. She for sure loves to make new friends, and enjoys making her own friends laugh.

Quirks:
One of Ginger's quirks is that she is terrified of squirrels, large dogs, spiders, and large insects. No one really knows why, but she is. Why squirrels? Well, again, no one really knows why. She is simply terrified of them. Even if she is inside and she sees one, she whimpers and cowers and looks around frantically for someplace to hide. If she's outside and she sees one, she goes into a full panic attack. One time she nearly passed out from fright. Mazzy and Memoria had to drag her inside. She was too scared to move. Why large dogs? Well, she's a small rat, and most dogs are pretty big. Bigger than any rat. It's understandable. But still, dogs don't scare her as much as squirrels. Now spiders and large insects. Scary. Not as scary as squirrels, but still pretty scary. She hates how spiders crawl. They scuttle across the floor or wall or whatever, so creepy with their eight legs. And large insects are absolutely terrifying. Any insect bigger fly scares Ginger.
Ginger hates peanut butter. No, she's not allergic, she just hates it. The way it sticks to the roof of her mouth, the taste. She'll eat a normal peanut any day, but peanut butter? No way. She would never eat peanut butter... well, unless someone swore they would stick her in a squirrel's nest if she didn't eat it. But she would just pretend to eat it. Ginger, for sure, hates peanut butter.
Ginger has the odd quirk of, if the ground is not hard, digging in the dirt like a dog. The yard is often dotted with little holes, that look a little like squirrel holes, just smaller. She is an expert digger, and her little paws are often very muddy. Does she put anything in these little holes she digs? Sometimes, usually just a piece of a leaf or something. But normally she just digs the hole and walks away.

What do you plan on doing with your rat?
I would add her to my Chitter Squeek Rattery thread, of course, and she would be sketched all the time along with my seven other rats (eight if I win Ginger herself.)
I love my rats, I think about them everyday, even if I am not able to give them as much (internet) attention. I sketch at least one of my rats once or every other day. And I like to imagine them in real life. I have always loved to imagine things, even as I get older I find I never loose the fun of imagining my characters walking around my house. It takes skill, imaging animals. But if you have done it as long as I have, you find it gets easier the more you do it, the harder the less you do it. And I imagine my characters almost every day. Sleeping, running, flying, playing, if your ever bored all you need to do is imagine.
My rats are given much attention in real life, as I imagine them all the time. I love my characters, especially my CSR rats. Though it may sound silly, my imagination, I do not think it is silly at all and rather enjoy making my characters 'come to life.'
Ginger would be imagined, sketched, and loved to pieces. I would never let her just sit and gather dust, and she would always be loved and adored.

wip, I am sorry to say I don't have enough time to do a decent story, though I will be doing lots of art of her if I win her
