I have a quick question about breeding. Can you breed a un-evolved Pokémon with an evolved on if they're the same species? For example an Eevee with a Leafeon?

I highly don't think so just because of egg groups. Like an eevee is from the field egg group and a leafeon is from plant I think. But check with astral c:

My guess would be it follows the rules of the main series games nwn
So, if the two parents are in the same egg group, they can breed.
Baby pokemon cannot breed. And Leafeon is in the field egg group with Eevee.
Astral will most likely have these rules posted once the nursery is actually open c:

Im also wondering, if you breed a shiny with a non shiny if it has a chance to produce a shiny? Like a random number roll thing like the pokemon catching

Assuming that breeding would work similarly as it does in the games, then I wouldn't think that a breeding containing at least one shiny parent would affect the outcome of the offspring. By doing it this way we may end up overpopulated with shinies.
Although I'd all be down for having the artist roll for the chance of getting a shiny. Maybe have a 1 in 100 chance or 3 in 100 chance or something along those lines. Of course that's all up to Astral... either way, I'm very interested in seeing what happens 0w0

Hey everyone!
Okay, so the Explore section is going to work a little differently, as we are not allowed to have a roleplay kind of thing going on in the oekaki. So, I have made a thread in the Invite only roleplay section, where you may still try for your pokemon without spamming up the oekaki!

How it will work;

The artists will be able to post the pokemon, but you will have to play out the attempt to catch it in the roleplay.
There is an official roleplay here and the roleplay for catching pokemon.

In the official roleplay, you may play as your pokemon and trainer, but for the roleplay for catching pokemon, you will only be able to catch the pokemon.

I know this sounds a little complicated, but I am sure all of you amazing individuals will help us figure this all out <3

In the case of a COPPA, could an exception be made to this new rule? Of course no spamming but could there be an alternate for private messaging astral. in the case of applying for something or being skipped and having to PM imp.?


I would like it if COPPA can enjoy Pokeventures unique side too. Even if certain restrictions must be made.
