Remove/hide the "registered COPPA users" group

Support! I find it weird how minors can't say they're minors but adults can say they're adults, yet it just says COPPA. And COPPA users just say "limited chat" in their groups or something. IDK

I did a quick look to see what is required by COPPA for businesses and I thought there would be something included that required individuals under 13 to be identified as such. From what I could see, there isn't so individuals on CS do not need to be identified. Again I only did a quick looks, but most of what COPPA requires is regulation and usage of information of individuals under 13. If it's not for legal reasons, I don't think individuals should be labeled as COPPA. As for searching up by COPPA players, I didn't even know that was a thing. It looks like you need to at least know part of the username of an individual though and you can't just search up all COPPA players. I still don't think it should be an option. So unless there is a legal reason to identify COPPA, then I agree with all three points.

Cs won't even allow adults to list their ages for safety ( which I personally think is silly but still ) but theres an entire group of players that are guaranteed minors with a badge that says that?
I think it definitely needs to be hidden or adjusted somehow.
Only thing I'm worried about is how they will be able to participate in trades/ giveaways etc. Without that 'I'm a coppa member and can only choose my message from a list of messages' thing

Yeah, my thought with that part of this suggestion was that it could be altered in some way- Perhaps it could keep the "I can only choose my messages from a list" so it is still clarifying that they can't post/send messages without mentioning the COPPA. Of course with that you can make the assumption that someone with that message is still COPPA because I don't know if there's anything else that limits messages in that way, but you would only find that out by already knowing COPPA is a thing, and happen to trade a COPPA user who also sent a message- which, is more effort than just seeing it right on someone's profile or being directly told that it's COPPA even if it doesn't 100% stop the issue

To add to this, maybe allowing -all- users to optionally pick a trade message from the default list would eliminate the immediate identification of a COPPA user?

Complete support. We do not need access to a list of confirmed minors for many reasons. I think it should be completely hidden from anyone who is not staff, and this should be implemented as soon as possible.

i completely, 100% agree with this suggestion. it's entirely contradictory to cs rules and is dangerous in multiple ways (expanded on in the original post&replies)
