I have removed posts from this thread that both brought anonymous offsite hate/bullying/harassment comments into the thread (which is not appropriate behavior) and called out specific users/posts/situations, which is also not appropriate.

I truly feel the issue is deeper than just that there are scammers and CS isn't seemingly doing much about it. Users can easily manipulate the value of pets because this game is subjective which essentially leaves those (who trade fair and choose not to manipulate the worth of pets) at a disadvantage. Players who play and trade fair shouldn't be at a disadvantage to another player who manipulates values and scams.
CS will never recognize this issue because pet rarity is subjective.
There are often scenarios that this has happened. Where someone has posted the value of a pet (valuing them more than their worth) then using their post as proof to others why their pet is worth more. I have experienced this and so has others
Also addressing the poll:
76% of voters believe CS does not properly address scamming
7% of voters aren't sure if CS properly address scamming
16% of voters believe CS does properly address scamming

With all due respect, the offsite posts I quoted were meant to bring awareness to the mindset users have about scamming and though these comments were concerning they were not inappropriate in any way to post on this thread. They should have brought to light that the current trading environment on Chicken Smoothie is toxic and something needs to be done. In my honest opinion, they were relevant to the thread and proved our valid concerns.

^ This the only way we can show legitimate proof of what we are saying is being a scammer ourselves.

Anonymous comments offsite mean nothing because you have no proof of who sent them (if they are even CS users or users who scam) or why (because they legitimately believe what they said or if they want to stir up trouble). All the messages could have come from one bad actor trying to prove the cause of this thread. They have no place here because they are completely useless to the discussion. If they are all you have, you have nothing and it only hurts your point.

There is so much argument about "could have been" this and "might have been" that, maybe none of them were scams, etc. But stop and think, what is the most likely thing that happened, out of say 100 reports of "ninja trading"? The most likely thing that happened is that many (maybe not all) people were scammed. That's still a problem that needs a solution, even if there isn't "concrete proof" for any of it. We can think of something that will make the situation better.

I politely disagree. No matter who sent them or why, I still believe comments like that are worthy of discussion, especially on a thread like this. I don't want to believe that people think like this either. But it's clear that there are many who do if scamming has become such a big problem on Chicken Smoothie. There is far less reason for someone to anonymously vent on a blog that doesn't even have that big of an audience to just stir up trouble than because they genuinely don't like this cause.

@ Lacuna since I didn't get a reply earlier I will rephrase my question!

Say there is an user who ninja's another user. The other person reports the trade but "due to lack of evidence nothing can be done". The user will then go on to ninja, say, 4 other people who also report it. At WHAT point will mods look at said user's past trade history and reports towards them and go "hmm, maybe this isn't an isolated instance"? This is NOT a reference to any real user btw, purely hypothetical. You say ninjaing is "near impossible to determine" and in some instances I can definitely believe that! But where is the line drawn? Because there comes a point where it's... really obvious.

I don't understand. We have more but we aren't allowed to post them because they are seen as "called out specific users/posts/situations". We can't offer proof because it will get deleted even if no username is mentioned. Any concrete proof can't be used because it's real.

The issue is less that those particular posts were removed but more staff continuously saying things which imply that black and white ninja cases don’t exist (they do, and aren’t against the rules), and then not allowing users to give specific examples [even without usernames?] or anything to really support their arguments.

I said earlier
“If this is not a conversation you care about it would be less damaging to simply step out of it, rather than stay here and say that not only is it impossible to address but you don’t want to do it because you don’t care about the standard of fairness people are trying to uphold.”
And it is something I stand by.
