Mark moonswirl and dogtag puppies!!

I see it every year, but more so this year, users who don't keep tabs on their growing moonpups and end up labeling their puppy something it's not. Sometimes it's an honest mistake, and other times it's a blatant lie in order to get more value from those who're willing to take the risk or trust the other user. Trading a non swirl as a moonswirl, or a non tag as a dogtag. There is no difference between the two outcomes in puppy stage, even the base code for the images are exactly the same.

I believe a small change to the puppies should be made to avoid these misunderstandings and scams in the future, much like how we've labelled the cocoon of the ur butterfly wolf.

Even something as small as a "6" for a dogtag puppy to show it grew in day 6, and a "9" on a moonswirl puppy to show it grew on day 9. Or a note on its page showing which day it grew on. Or even a change to the codes so there's a way to show one as a non and the other as the tag/swirl. Any way to help clear up the confusion, to stop the swindling and mislabeling of these four outcomes.

I happened to be "lucky" to get a Newborn/Puppy from that 'July 2008' Litter for which all 4 Outcomes will turn OMGSR...

And in those "busy"/"hectic" Days around Xmas, I tried to keep track of the Pet between Day_6/Day_8/Day_9, and after Day_6 between Day_8/Day_9, and from the Puppy/1st Stage Image, I now know it will be a 'Non-Swirl Moon Dog' (Day_8) or a 'Moon-Swirl Dog' (Day_9), and I think if I'm "correct" (=> Day_8) that it will probably become a 'Non-Swirl', but I'm not "completely sure" myself, as it's fairly easy to make a mistake between Day_8 and Day_9..., I will now have "to wait" until Day_30/Day_33 to know for sure...!

So if some Players are "greedy" enough to "let themselves be scammed", they are a bit "asking for it" and should know about the Day_[6-8-9] Growing Stages for those 4 such valuable (ex-Main List) Pets if they want to trade for one and should wait until Day_[28-33] to know for sure which Pet they are trading for...

And the "Ranking" between those 4 Pets is/was based on the ex-Main List, they are all 4 (currently!) OMGSR, so maybe that "Ranking" is even not correct in terms of "pure" Rarity, unless the various Projects about Pets Counting have "finalized" their Counting, ... which anyway might shift again because of the new Load of 2021-12-18 Pets...

... So..., I voted "No"...
Marking the 4 Puppies would be a "Spoiler", there have already been Suggs about showing "directly" the (final) Rarity for Decb 18th Pets, and those Suggs have each time been rejected...

"asking for it" isn't a phrase I recommend using again.

Some people don't want to wait for them to grow before trading them, a lot of the appeal of the moon and sun litters are the puppy stages, once they're grown people aren't as eager to trade for them.

We know the estimated order of the rarity of these pets based on when they turned omgsr, the dogtag and moonswirl became omgsr around the same time, then the non-swirl and non-tag became omgsr much later- so are not as rare. Sure the numbers may have changed and they may be closer in value now, but I highly doubt it.

Marking the second stage puppies wouldn't be a spoiler, it'd be to help those who missed the growths correctly identify their pets for trading. A spoiler would be straight up marking the blanket stage, which isn't what I was recommending.

Players trading for those 4 Pets while still growing know they are taking some "Risks"... And they do that deliberately, convincing themselves they have found a "cheap deal"...

No support. Half of the fun of December 18th is watching pets grow the same way they did the first time they were released. If you want to trade your pup before it's grown then you simply need to keep better track of its growth stages. Additionally if someone was lied to in a trade then the trade would be reversed by an admin.

What if someone claimed they mismarked the pet? (this post shouldn't give anyone any ideas they didn't already have on a large scale, because this is misdirection 101 and is already in widespread use with both false and true claims of multiaccounts being owned by separate people)

It's not exactly what I meant, but it'd work beautifully. I'm unsure how knowing for certain if you have a non or a tag would ruin the surprise, but I think for sake of honesty and fair trading it'd be a sensible option to consider.
