Epilepsy filter for oekaki (POLL UP)

I’m not sure how it would be implemented, but I think having an epilepsy filter option before submitting artwork Would be helpful for people with drawings that feature bright colours or complex patterns that could trigger people with photosensitive epilepsy


Update: 05/03/21: so for an idea, we could use the block feature and turn it into a filter.

Here’s a visual idea of a filter as an example before you submit a drawing, you could have an option saying: does this image contain bright colours or textures etc? With a tick box ☑️. Once ticked, the filter will be placed when the drawing is submitted

Another potential filter warning could say: (thank you glitchedpoison for the suggestion <3)
ooh yes yes! but instead of just bright things + epileptic textures, it could say 'This image could potentially contain triggering content!

I think this is a nice idea. Even if it doesn't catch everything, I believe that most people here are good enough that when asked "Does your art feature bright colors and/or high contrast?" then they'll check the checkbox if it applies.

That said, I don't have epilepsy, nor am I familiar with it, so I can't speak from personal want or personal experience while browsing the Oekaki boards. But support!

same as nickjr, I dont personally have epilepsy or anything, but I think this would be a really good idea. most of the art I post is high contrast or bright and saturated. I do try to tone it down a bit with layer filters, but it would be really nice to have this feature so I could post stuff in the way I intended to without worrying about potentially harming another user or making their experience on the site more troublesome than need be. support
