It's okay! No, it's fully user based, I have never seen Tess and/or Nick mention they would give chicken smoothie away, selling is of course our last resort, and most of us hope to avoid it.

It's not up to any user here to choose what happens to this site. Not is it a last resort for us. The only ones who can choose that are the OWNERS NICK and TESS. We shouldn't demand anything from them, they are people too who have lived and issues going on like the rest of us. In the end it's their choice and theirs alone

This shouldn't be up for discussion unless it's a real issue and even then not our choice. I rather support working to make cs better and improve rules and the such. If they want to sell or even delete the site that is their choice and not ours.

Then I suggest this thread be closed as it's not fundamental to the site. We have no say in whether they sell or not. We should instead concentrate on issues that are in our say. I fully support the work they have been trying to do these past months with what's going on and hope things will improve even more.

just popping in to throw in my 2 cents and to say that i disagree with the motion of this thread being closed. regardless about the debate around the wording of the title the core point of this thread still stands and should remain open to discussion.

I think that this thread should remain open for now, because a lot of positive dialogue has come from the discussion taking place here and it wouldn't be possible without you guys! As much as I disagree with having a clickbait title, this thread has become a place where users can express their valid concerns and staff can address them to the best of our ability.

The main issue I was trying to address was the idea that users should vote on who "buys" or "inherits" CS. That's not something that any of us have a say in, including myself. But we do all have a say on what positive changes can be made to keep CS a happy and fun place for everyone, and I think being able to express those ideas is really important.

True, I realized my voting idea was stupid lol.

I think the first step is communication from tess/nick (as far as I have seen nick hasn't commented) it would really show players tess and nick care about them, even if it's a tiny message.

nick commented several times a while back. it was a huge event on this thread. it was followed closely by him implementing popular suggestions on this board. only admins we havent heard from are tess and sorren.

So I was reading this and it is a lot to unpack but I have been here a long time and I do not actively talk to people.

I am saying this upfront because I want to provide what I feel as a player solely without potential bias or influence from people.

Keep in mind I read the entire front page without clicking any of the sources provided as well.

Since I have joined which has been a pretty good while. This is how I pretty much play and this is also what I see. Dunno if I am helping anyone on idek which side of the discussion with my contribution but I will leave it here in case of anything. Sorry in advance if I am mistepping.

Since the time I have joined till date, the community does feel less active.
I normally deal in trading and that is it.
Since the time I joined to now. If you want trades the only time to really do it when there is a site event. Trading is very hot and flows very well when the site has an event because it makes people come on and be active with trades. Trading outside of site events has always been like pulling teeth.
As a result of this I only come to the site once a month to adopt the new pets and I try to come to the site during events I expect and sometimes miss random/surprise events. I try to do that to get all my trading done before the site dies again, I know this because I always stay after events and keep trying to push trades but the difference after events is hugely noticeable.

I have been playing this way rinse repeat since I joined. I have made no friends, do not understand "values" since the classifications seem to really be determined by people. with the only solid trading fair trading comparison being same rarity same year is an equivalent fair trade. I do not use other parts of the forums. Not sure if it's because I do not know how or don't know what to do or how to use them since I don't care for art, I do not use that and I am always actively after WL then I go to trades? Anything else idk what it is for or how to use tbh. So yeah, I have no friends.

I've tried making friends with people I have had an enjoyable trade with but, no one has ever stuck for more than a session of messages. I did not know there were CS discords. Though I read they're dead now anyways.

So... what would I like to see? Unfortunately from a simplistic view, more events? It seems to be the only way trading becomes very active and it keeps me physically here actually getting through my WL and working towards my first OMGSR.
Something I REALLY wish for. Site features. I need some serious quality of life. The pet base is huge and literally gets bigger every month as years go by. I wish there was like a star rating or something when adding pets to WL because often times, I have pets on a higher priority than others. But often times I get trades for pets on my WL but are like the last of my concerns on WL and people offer me these WL pets for pets that are of significant higher value and then I have to explain why it is in my wl and I want to trade but I have other priorities? The pet base is HUGE to dig through to uncheck them and go back through it and recheck everything as I search for it.

I know that people can organize pets how they want too. But at my end, we're talking about thousands of thousands of pets. Even if you make categories there should seriously still be filters to organize by either rarity or species etc.

I am very disconnected from all of the people of this site so again forgive me if I am over sighted but I agree the site has a lot of potential and I am personally for a site sale if it it will give the site a chance to become innovative and expand upon. I understand people don't like change and fear that you don't know who may get it next, but my mentality on that is this.
1) You can not let fear keep you stagnant because yeah what if it doesn't, but then again what if it does?

The community does feel less active! I've had a free pets thread going since I joined in 2016, and I'm most certainly getting progressively less and less people on it. I used to have to go through pages and pages...now if I get a dozen people a day it's a lot! Nothing's changed, the thread name is the same, I'm active at the same time per day. I can't vouch for the event thing, since I missed the last one, but it doesn't surprise me at all.

Agree that the thread shouldn't be closed. This thread isn't really even bout selling the site, it's about change, and having admins listen to the community. Right now, without this thread, I don't necessarily trust that change would be happening.

I guess overall I don’t see the issues others do. I’ve been here since 2010 and I know trading is harder, full of more rude people in that regards due to the entire demand, lists, advents, and whatever else is used which I completely don’t understand anyways. I’ve always just traded for what I would love to have and what’s fair to me. I used to RP here but I do that now over text with a friend. Maybe I just like the stability of everything staying very familiar <3 I mean look at webkinz lol. It was good at the start but once they started to change a lot it was just a money grab and to chaotic. (:

Someone also mentioned we should appreciate the the fact each month there’s new pets, new art. I think that’s a big thing! For the 10 years I’ve seen, that’s so impressive that each month + events there’s never been a fail of new pets! That counts for something!!
