If Tess isn't responding to you guys.. That's genuinely heart breaking because what hope do we have of reaching her if her own assistants can't? I don't want to quit CS, but at the same time I don't want to invest further in a site that's been abandoned by it's creators

as amazing it is to hear we have the support.. i cant help but feel that its disheartening. if staff doesn't even get a response, what hope is there for cs? is it pointless for us to to to fight a ship thats headed towards an iceberg?

i was thinking the same thing. if anyone should have a pretty solid line of communication with the site owner, should it not be the admins? to hear that an admin assistant has trouble hearing anything from the owner is concerning at best.

I don't think I've ever felt such a deep level of ambivalence.

I am irrevocably pleased that we have the support of the staff, especially from you, Lacuna. You've always been one of the major figureheads of CS, and I've always deeply admired you ^^

However, as Mjolnir stated, this is terribly disheartening. Dare I say it, this is worse than being left in the dark. If even the staff are at a loss, and aren't able to help CS, whats left?

Guys, our moderators aren't reading every post of every thread, we need you to be our eyes and ears and help us by reporting rulebreaking content. A lot of people that complain about posts they've seen on the forums have never reported any posts themselves, I guess because everybody assumes that someone else has already reported them.

It's certainly not the case that users can link their art accounts which have porn in them, and we take these reports seriously, remove links and issue warnings. Repeat offenders can be and have been banned from CS.

But do you know what is? Drawing furries or anthros who show pink bellies, accidentally sending someone an unfair trade they accepted and suddenly demand a trade back for, writing "censored" as a joke, calling out scammers and bullies, disagreeing with staff over small and opinionated matters.. and more questionable and head scratching examples of people being banned over something so meager.

I don't think a single user has been banned from CS for only doing these things you listed. If they have been it has been because this has been the only option left to us after a long string of warnings and temporary bans for similar behaviour, and the user has proved they're not willing to follow the rules.

I agree with this thread! Im kinda new to Chicken smoothie but I had an old account in 2013 and now the community feels like its dying and really only active around holidays or events. There needs to be updates or changes to keep people coming back.

I have to say I too am incredibly frustrated. Although I may only be a GH, I see you and hear you. I stand with y'all and empathize with your concerns and feelings. Your concerns and feelings are absolutely valid, and I share those concerns and feelings myself. Chicken Smoothie is far from perfect, it has faults and problems, and I believe there must be better communication between staff and the community in order to address and work out those problems and concerns. Y'all are just as big of a part of the site as staff, so it is only right for y'all to be involved too. Not only should there be between communication among the staff and community, there should be better communication among the staff themselves. It is incredibly difficult to work as a team if there's a lack of communication. This is not only frustrating for staff, but the community too.

with all due respect, i feel like you've missed the point. while yes, obviously, that was said, the main point here is that the users feel like there isn't much communication with staff. and when there is, it is unclear. if anything, nick, your reply has helped to prove that. we really just want transparency between the staff, especially about new features being coded.
