Yes, I love this idea. Especially since suggestions and questions aren't separated - I feel like this would leave a lot of room for suggestions to really get some more air too. I'd be very happy to see this implemented.

nickjr wrote:Yeah, I personally would rather see a proper board split, but I figure that something like a TLQ thread is the next best thing and it would take a lot less effort too ^^ Happy to see support!

I think the only down side is perhaps a question could be lost and never answered through the thread. It probably wouldn't move really fast, but I imagine at some point some questions might be missed or go unanswered.

This is a good point, but I think this also applies to question threads now. Question threads that are still unanswered when they reach the second page can be bumped, so I think we could just allow unanswered questions in a TLQ thread to be "bumped" every page or 2 pages or something if unanswered. I'll add this to the first post
Spread the word to end the word, because discrimination based on perceived or actual IQ/"intelligence" is no better than discrimination based on race, gender, etc.

Context, consistency, and clear antecedents are golden.
I neither read nor speak between the lines. But I will analyze your language.

That is very true, and sounds like a good idea!
It's always good to consider the cons and address solutions to them, and I'm glad its something to consider,
and thanks for adding it.

I'm still all in support for this though!
If I think of anything else, I'll be sure to comment about it so it can be discussed or given a counter or solution. c:

Oh neat o: The forum I was referring to the in first post was actually Unifaction (now closed) and I haven't been active on many other fairly big/active forums, so I hadn't realized this was a thing on other sites, too!

Up you go

Bump, has this been discussed among staff? (I understand if it hasn't been discussed recently since it's Advent Calendar lol but I meant in the 3 months before Advent Calendar) This is a super small but super easy to implement suggestion (could even be run by a regular user--I would've made it myself if I wasn't so hesitant about the idea, tbh, and if CS were smaller with less officialness then I would've definitely made it) and I don't think it would require much discussion. There are practically no cons that we've thought of, especially when compared to the potential pros (board cleanup, even if we do get a split board)
