cream.soda wrote:Same outlook as @King Andre. Two years later and I still am blown away by people saying "why have the option to delete pets when you could give them to people who want them". If someone wants to delete a pet they're not going to magically want to give them away to people if the option is removed or replaced. They'll just sit in the account. Because it's their choice and no one should feel pressured into doing anything with their pets.

I do like the new option of replacing it with a "transfer to pound" button. But I still think users in this thread need to be a little more careful with their wording and not frame their replies in a way that might be guilt tripping.

I agree with this. I believe I only used the delete option a handful of times - mostly back when I first joined the site - but it's up to a user what they do with the pet, be it gift it or delete it. no one is entitled to anyone else's pets - it's up to the user (though I do acknowledge some earlier points regarding scammers deleting pets, which I wasn't aware of).
abroad with bad signal, slow responses!

{110% support if only because I constantly hit the delete when I try to rename pets. Fortunately it comes up to the additional page but it's a terrifying moment. The transfer to pound does have a similar issue, but it's still a better feeling than deleting a pet forever.}
i rly can't w y'all not supporting this. ppl like you whine abt hoarders but you think you should be allowed to delete your lists and store pets that'll never be rereleased bc that's somehow "better" than giving them the chance to be readopted through the Pound. what.

i support. i'm not a fan of the thought of deleting pets at all. i always wondered why that was there and i think it would be best just to remove it.
