Suggestion for the oekaki

Postby -deleted and gone- » Thu Dec 27, 2012 2:08 pm

You know how deviantArt has a feature where you can store deviations? And you can un-store them anytime you want?

Well, I've seem some artists being insecure about their old oekaki drawings (including myself). I think adding a feature like that to the CS oekaki would be great. c: That way people don't need to delete their drawings but don't have to worry about others seeing them.

Don't support. :c

If a user wants to see/have their old drawings without other users seeing it, they could just save the picture to their computer or something. Then they could ask a moderator to delete the picture. They would not be able to make the drawing viewable on the boards again, though.

Another solution would be for them to simply draw over the drawing in a solid color or something, and remove that layer should they want to show it again.

I see where you're coming from, but...
The colour-overing thing and saving thing is tedious work, especially if you have 200+ pictures in your oekaki. That would seem like a bit of a waste of time. uvu;;

As for the second thing you mentioned, yeah, that's self-explanatory. ;v;'' The pictures would be gone for good.

That's why I feel like the storage thing is a good idea~ c: I see where you're coming from though.

No support, as well. I agree with Jadesong. If an artist truly does not want their art to be seen, they can save it to their computer and have it deleted from CS, or just cover it with another color/layer. It doesn't matter whether it is tedious and supposedly a waste of time. If it bothers an artist so much that they just can't bear it being seen, then that's what they should do. Otherwise it just takes up space on CS, which is pointless and a waste.
I was hacked. Not going to remake all my groups and such unless I feel like it. That's a lotta work. Don't bother with trades, everything's a mess.

There should at least be an option to put the drawing on public private. Sorry if a repeated whatever the suggestion was. I didn't understand what they meant exactly
