Some users are too afraid to speak up about the problems on this site, and if users like you, nickjr, and the general helpers (and anyone else who avidly posts in the CS help/suggestions forum) stop helping/voicing the problems it will hang on the too-scared users (aka me) and the newbies/chat speakers. And since a lot of people don't listen to them, CS would eventually become a sinkhole for bad behavior from other users.
Yes, that's a little extreme, but that would be what happened after a few years. I would try to help out if that happened but people always see the flaws in my thinking. -.- *looks at rude debaters in 18+ forum*
I'm also getting a little off-topic. I guess I'm kind of responding to the topic you linked to, but it's old and isn't grave-digging against the rules? (See, a whole other reason that needs to be put in place!) So that's my two-cents. I re-read your post and I realized you probably meant you won't help here, but still. I thought people could use some encouraging.
